Lawry's Chili Spices & Seasonings Mix, 1.48 oz Packet

I really liked this seasoning mix and it made it really easy to get some flavorful chili. The chili blend has a nice balance of spices and wasn't really spicy or anything which I like. I liked using this over having to use a bunch of other seasonings and trying to find and combine them all. Overall, I would use this again.

My first time trying Lawry's Chili Spices and Seasoning. To my delight, the spices in this mix are zesty and bold, adding a delicious flavor for a chili seasoning mix. I added pickled jalapeños for some kick but that's it. Just follow follow the easy to read instructions. It even gets better the day after.

This chili seasoning takes all the guesswork out of getting the seasoning ratios right. Great flavor and incredibly easy to use. I ended up making the chili mac recipe that was recommended on the back. It was a super fast and easy weeknight dinner that left my family full and happy! Would highly recommend for anyone trying to simplify their weeknight dinners.

It's very convenient mix that I can use without gathering more spices. The instructions are clear and super easy. It's already seasoned and no need for more salt at least for me and my family. I added a bit of cayenne pepper powder in the end for myself since I like spicy chili.

If you like Lawry's seasoning, you'll definitely like this chili seasoning. I made my chili dip and chili soup with this seasoning and both times it tasted so good. I can handle spicy and this has a hint of spiciness, but it's not overpowering. All chili dip/soup needs a little spice to it and this seasoning had it all. Both of my meals took less than 30 minutes to make. It's a no-brainer, ready to be used spice, and requires no other seasoning. I will for sure purchase these to have in stock. Highly recommend!

I had never made my own chili before but I received this product for free in exchange for my review and thought why not give it a shot. I actually decided to follow the recipe on the back of the packet -- I am not a chef, so this was easy for me. The chili came out really great and all I used was this seasoning packet. To be honest, I wasn't sure whether or not to salt and pepper the meat before mixing all the ingredients but I decided not to, and to just rely on the seasoning. All in all, I would recommend both the seasoning packet as well as the chili recipe.

This was a nice chili seasoning with the right level of spice where my husband it wasn't spicy enough. But enjoyed it in my chili. Had a milder taste compared to other brands but for me it was good for my spice level. Would recommend this product to those who love chili for not all seasoning are equal and this one fits my grade. Other seasoning are so strong where this one has the right amount.

I made a pot of chili with Lawry's® Chili Spices & Seasonings Mix. I used a 1.48 oz packet, and followed the directions on it, so that I used a pound of ground beef, a cup of red kidney beans and a cup of tomato sauce (instead of diced tomatoes) in addition to the seasoning. The chili was a hit with my family, with one member saying "it had a good flavor without being too salty or sweet." And the Original seasoning mix is just that – it doesn't overwhelm the other ingredients. So that if you are feeding a group with mixed tastes, those with less tolerance for hot foods will most likely find this just right. For those that want it to be a bit spicier, they can add as many spices as they like (and make sure plenty of water is at hand!) You should note that a standard packet contains about 440mg of sodium per serving. A look on Lawry's web site did not show a low-sodium alternative, and this would influence me when looking to buy chili seasoning again, since most other manufacturers, including McCormick's, offer a low sodium option. So while I would recommend this seasoning to friends for its pleasing taste, I might opt for a lower sodium version in the future for myself and my family. I also think you could use this seasoning mix when making tacos or even fajitas as well as chili. Disclosure: I received this product for free in exchange for writing this review.

For those who don't enjoy cooking, this is a very simple meal - just follow the instructions on the back of the packet and you don't have to measure much of anything! The spice blend helps you make a simple chili in no time. However, I did think it was a little boring and I ended up having to doctor it up in order to make it a little more "fun"!
