Lawry's Taco Seasoning Mix, 1.0 oz Packet

I used the Lawry's taco seasoning to make nachos at home. Typically, I buy a low sodium variety. Lawry's sent me this free sample through BzzAgent in exchange for an honest review. Since I'm trying to consume less sodium, I only used half a pack for about 1.5 pounds of ground turkey. Although I used a smaller amount, the meat was still well seasoned and tasted great with my other ingredients. It's a pretty standard taco seasoning packet that is comparable to other brands I have tried. If you're watching your sodium, half a pack is just enough. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone that loves a good taco night.

The seasoning itself made the taco meat taste how I remember my mom making them years and years ago. It had the perfect blend of cumin, garlic and onion all while not tasting too salty. The spice was just right. It was exactly the way I like it and my family loved them. They now want tacos regularly. I love that I didn't have to add any extra ingredients to adjust the flavor. By far some of the best tacos I've ever made.

I was given Lawry's Taco seasoning for the purpose of reviewing. I am a regular user of Lawry's Taco Seasoning Mix and frequent user of Lawry's seasoned salt. For this review, I decided to use ground turkey breast instead of my usual lean ground beef for tacos. I was surprised at how well the turkey was seasoned because ground turkey is something I avoid. I wanted to try something new for the sake of the review and because ground turkey breast is cheaper than beef right now. As usual, Lawry's Taco Seasoning is so convenient because it has onion and garlic in the mix so it's less prep work for me. I did use more olive oil than usual to cook the turkey and added cilantro and a little red onion for color towards the end of cooking. The flavor was a tasty taco flavor that is not spicy or not too cumin-y. I really enjoyed cooking turkey this way and felt I wasn't missing out on my usual beef. In fact, I think the Lawry's Taco Seasoning flavor was more pronounced using ground turkey breast. We had these turkey tacos in flour tortillas with prepared guacamole, grape tomatoes, mixed greens, and lime juice. And the next day I had it in a packed lunch with brown rice and broccoli. I traditionally only use Lawry's Taco Seasoning for ground beef tacos and nachos. I think I will try this seasoning packet with ground turkey for easy prep lunches with quinoa and veggies. As a person who doesn't normally enjoy ground turkey, I think Lawry's Taco Seasoning is the secret ingredient to get me to eat turkey more often. I will still use Lawry's for my favorite ground beef tacos but will use this in turkey recipes for cheaper and healthier lunches.

I used the packet to make Mexican street corn chicken bowls and it's what I seasoned my chicken with. Easy to use and great taste. Would definitely recommend and use as my future taco seasoning!

I love that this seasoning packet is for 2 pounds of meat. I have a large family to feed and this made it so convenient. The instructions are simple. The flavor is very good. The seasoning is mild, not spicy for my picky eaters. Truly a wonderful product that I will purchase many times in the future

I have tried many packets of taco seasoning and this one is definitely my favorite! When I find it at the store, I buy four or five of them in case the next store I visit is currently out of of them

My family enjoyed this taco seasoning they all thought it was very good. The package directions was easy to understand. I added it to my ground beef after draining it. I liked that it wasn't to salty.

i would normally choose a taco seasoning made by a mexican brand, so i was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Lawrys taco seasoning. It provided a good flavor to the meat. The only issue was that its for 2 pounds of meat so we had to divvy it up.

I received this taco seasoning for free as part of a promotion in exchange for my review. I made this for my family with ground beef for tacos. The flavor and spice level are really good, but I found it much saltier than I usually enjoy. I would purchase this but double the meat amount (2lb vs 1lb) or add veggies in order to reduce the saltiness. My kids enjoyed it as well, although they said it was a little spicier than they are used to. Overall, I would purchase again with these modifications.
