I would recommend this product.

We bought this tool kit for our daughter. She loves to fix things and pretend she is a carpenter. Perfect for imagination play. Great for boys or girls.

My son loves this.

ZAGJA January 10, 2015

I got this for my son because he loves to help me when i put together a new piece of furniture that i get for our home. He now has his own set of tools so that he can build whatever his heart desires. It does take doule a batteries so you might want to have those on hand, but besides that i don't have any complaints. The box that it comes in can also be what it's stored in, which is a plus. The durability of the toys seems to be pretty good, it doesn't feel cheap and my son is usually pretty rough on his toys. He's also learned what a screw driver, drill, and everything else does. He really liked the part that came with this where he could screw and unscrew/ nail and remove the pieces into the little "board". I have nothing bad to say about this toys, my son loves it and it keeps his attention. The sound of the drill can get a bit irritating but that's about it. i would recommend this for any little boy that likes to help his parent out or likes to build. (this was went to me for review, all opinions are my own)

Great tool set just like Daddy's

klyle78 October 27, 2014

Learning Resources Play Workbelt Tool Set was given as a birthday present to my 3 year boy. He absolutely loves tools so this was perfect for him. He was so excited when he opened it and of course loved it. He has worn it non stop since he received it. He even said to me, " I am going to wear this forever." He has been walking around the house pulling out tools one by one along the way "fixing" things around the house. I love that it comes with a nice big case that fits all the tools and is a great way to keep them all together. I found this to be a great value considering how many different types of tools come in this set. The tools and accesories are exceptionally well made with extremely accurate detailing. I was very impressed that many of the tools really work. The wrench opens and closes just like a real one with the turn of a little wheel and you can actually saw the wooden piece that comes with it. The screws, nuts and bolts work with the flathead, phillips and the battery powered drill. My son can spend hours just drilling and screwing in all the pieces and playing with all the parts. This toy is probably the best toy we have ever given him and I know we will get tons of use out of it. I have a feeling this will not just end up at the bottom of his toy box like many of his other toys. The tool belt is really cool part of this set. I think that the toolbelt is what sets this tool set apart from all the others. Each tool has it's own spot that is marked by a little picture of the tool that belongs there. Very easy for little ones to know where each tool goes. The battery powered drill takes 2 AA batteries that are not included so make sure you have some on hand. There was only one small detail that I feel they could have improved. The 2 screwdrivers keep coming apart. The handle keeps coming detached. It is a prettty easy fix and can be glued if you want to keep it permanantly in place but it is not that big of a deal to just slide it right back on. Other that that this is a perfect tool set for any little boy or girl. Even his 2 older sisters love to use it. If your child loves to play with tools they will absolutely love this tool set. I just can not say enough good things about it. So much fun and it is so cute seeing him work around the house just like daddy.

The Best Play Work Belt Tool Set I've Seen!

sunshin514 December 17, 2014

As soon as I opened the box and saw the case with the tools, I knew immediately that my grandson was certainly going to enjoy playing with them. This tool set is rated for ages 3+ and is one of the best pretend & play tool sets I've seen. If your child is a fan of "Handy Mandy", then he will surely be able to make-believe that he is a handy man :-). The set comes in a nice hard plastic case and the bottom of the case is blue. It has twenty pieces. First of all, it has a work belt for holding the tools (just like Handy Mandy) and it is brown. The set consist of a Power Drill that takes two AA batteries because it can go forward and reverse and a drill bit. It also has a hammer, pliers, wrench, hand saw, two screws, two hex-nuts, two screwdriver bits, two nails and two screwdriver handles. I was surprised because there's a working tape measure! In addition to all the tools there is a wood block to hold them all, which is brown in color like the work belt. The tools are made of high quality plastic and are grey in color, resembling the look of real tools and the handles are black. If your little guy likes to follow dad around and watch him use his tools, he's going to love this set. Not only that, because the tools look a lot like the real ones he'll be able to identify the genuine tools by his set. This fun tool set makes a great gift for any little one and especially those that like to pretend to build.

Learning Resources Play Workbelt Tool Set

bossytm January 14, 2015

My boys just love this item. It comes with a tool belt, which is just one of the features they love. The drill uses batteries and they have been using it a lot pretending to build this or that. The measuring tape is one of the tools here they use the most. I find them all around the house measuring things and how great a way to learn to use numbers and build. I really like that they are learning while they are playing. The case it came in is really super for keeping all the tools in one place. Very sturdy tools and case too. I will be buying another one for my granddaughter when she gets a little older.

20 pc Play Tool set

gcbruce January 2, 2015

I received this item as a Sparks reviewer. It is a very good play set for kids. It includes a drill(requires 2 AA batteries), hammer, saw, pliers and screwdriver, also comes with tool belt and table for hours of entertainment. Another thing that makes this set worthwhile is the carrying case, making it easy to haul around and store when not being played with. If you throw in a cardboard box the little ones could use their imaginations and build anything. All items in this set are made of sturdy plastic which will not fall apart like some sets on the market, however there are some smaller pieces which may not make it suitable for anyone 3 and younger. Overall my opinion of the set is very good and worth buying.

Now I can help my dad!

dl123sto January 4, 2015

I gave the Learning Resources Play Work belt Tool Set to a good friend who has a 5 year old grandson. (he is my littlest boyfriend). But now he thinks he is one of the big guys. He spends a lot of time searching their house for things that need fixing. Mom has to convince him to wait until dad is there so they can check it out and work on it together. I did mean to put batteries in it for the drill, but I forgot. (Might be a nice idea to include a package with the batteries in the tool kit). This way the child can play with it upon opening it and not have the disappointment of having to wait until batteries can be located. Other than than that, the tool kit was a big hit. Had all items that a young child could usee and mom liked the fact that there was a case to put everything away in so no pieces would get lost.

Children's Tool Kit

sinnabunn October 26, 2014

This tool kit is great and my grand son loves it. It is made of durable plastic and has a very nice carrying case. It is labeled for 3 and up. My opinion is it should probably be 5 and up. The first thing he did was use the pliers to pinch his sisters finger. It really hurt her. I suggest if you buy this, know your child. My grand son now knows better but we still watch him closely when he plays with this. The package contains 20 pieces. A work belt, power drill, Hammer, pliers, wrench, hand saw, tape measure, wood block, drill bit, tool case, 2 screws, 2 hex nuts, 2 screw driver bits, 2 nails and 2 screw driver handles. The pieces are durable plastic and look real. All in all this is a great product but if your child is under 5 ( my opinion ) parental supervision should be followed until the child can play safely.

Cute starter kit

mbiskit1 December 25, 2014

My grandson helps daddy now with this tool kit. They have fun together on little prodjects around the house. And when mommy is doing a prodject he offers his assistance and it is cute interaction with the family. I love watching them.

Drill and Belt = No Fighting

Loren March 29, 2025

The belt doesn't fasten long bc the holes are too large for the snap on. My 6 year old loves the belt when the tools are in it. My 2 year old walks around with the drill, massaging his face and neck daily. The drill is soft, sturdy, and needs batteries. I like that each kid likes something different from the kit. The "wood" piece needs a grip bc it slides off every surface. Over all its safe, and it's played with at least four 4x a week.
