Lego - Super Mario - Whomp's Lava Trouble

this was one of the better mario sets that my son enjoyed

My son loved it! Great expansion set to add to his collection.

Really cool set of legos!

Build time: 40 minutes. My 3 year old son helped me with 66% of the bricks, this was the first set of the day and it was late AM. For the first time, we have a set that features throwing a shell at another character. I was wondering how LEGO would portray it. Even during the build I didn't realize that was what we were building.I would love to see it again in another set (e.g. having a shell on a sliding platform might be an interesting idea). There are two exclusive characters in this set (Whomp and Lava Bubble), Whomp is a very large character with a brick printed for his face. This is obviously the one that my son likes a lot. It's the same on my side and as I told my son: when you see Ba-Boom's smile, you see why it's important to always brush your teeth and go to the dentist. As for the playability, it's a great set for collecting lots of gold coins: the mobile platform gives us lots of them and so does the P switch (that's what turns bricks into gold coins in the video game). The moving platform doesn't have studs to help Mario stand better, which increases the difficulty level when going back and forth.

Easy to build instructions with the new application where you don't have to be a "Rocket scientist" to build these sets fun for the whole family and gorgeous work Lego thank you very much please produce more. And keep shelling out the instructions on the app because they are truly very very very easy to use and it took me little time to assemble ^_^

The shipping was good. My grandson got a few set's for Christmas.. However we did have to buy him a big table to put them on so that he can keep it set up. Now that we have done that he is so happy with it!! Now our only problem is he wants more set's!! So we may need a bigger table..lol So I'm back on line to order some more.

Grandson loves it! Good item to go with the main course set.

Grands really like it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this product is most definitely brilliant, it brings hours of fun to me and my children, we all enjoyed interacting with it and building it together, as with lego products it arrived well packaged. It was fairly easy to understand and build.

Ordered this from Walmart.com, arrived today and box was smashed. This is not an acceptable package to give as a gift. If the stores would actually have sufficient inventory, I would have bought in store. I either have to give a damaged gift or return at store and find something else. Very disappointed.
