These are great for interior Christmas lights and for lights while on vacation. Download the free app and program them to turn on and off as many times per day or week that you desire. Once programmed they are hands free. Very easy to use and a great value.
Installation was simple (just plug it in). The connection to my network was straight forward following the prompts on my smart phone and with the use my Alex app (there was no need for the me to download this item's proprietary App).
So simple to program. I have had these smart plugs for years. What I like about these brand smart plugs is that it has a green indicator light on the face of the plug that shows it is active/on. It also connects to the Google Home app therefore I do not have to add another generic app to run the application for these smart plugs.
These smart outlets are so easy to set up. They arrived on time, I was able to connect using my Apple HomeKit app and set it up in less than a minute. It is working flawlessly. Very reasonable pricing for four outlets.
This smart plug is a great economical choice and is way to setup. It also works well with Apple HomeKit and voice commands. Overall, a great buy with economic savings. This will be a repeated buy for me.
these are very helpful dont know why i waited so long to have a smart home and you must download the app. it works with alxea easy setup
I had a very hard time setting these up. I had to get a new router for my Wi-Fi. Be sure to.have a Wi-Fi 6 router andnir needs to have 2.4 and also 5 GHZ for these to connect. I was able to connect them to my old router but they would go offline right away and they wouldn't go online. They wouldn't register with the Google Home app unril I got the new router and modem for my internet. Once I got them conmecred, everything started working the way i wanted them to. I said "Hey Google, turn on fan" and the box fan in my bedroom window turned on which is what I wanted. I have the floor lanp in the living room and also the standing oscillating fan plugged into these smart plugs and they work well. The description says they work with the Google Home app and.they work well with the Google Home app.
I know this is not intended for outdoors but I used one in my garden to control Christmas lights. Since it's an outdoor outlet, it has a metal flap coving it. The problem I ran into is that since the smart plug is so wide, I could not connect it directly to the outlet. I had to use a three prong extension cable to plug it in. But in most cases the width would not be an issue. So setup instructions were not good, no comment on how to get it into Apple's Home Kit. But I just turned it on and scanned the code on the smart plug from within Home Kit to add the new device. It worked fine from then on. I bought the 4 pack and the price was very good. Overall, very happy with it.
The plug is wide and does not fit in receptacles with covers, outside outlets have doors in them and the smart plug will not fit those receptacles.
Within 3 days of purchase and correctly %26 successfully setting up plug in devices through Alexa app (Amazon) my power went out due to a storm. Key findings: FALSE CLAIM: My plugs did NOT automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi when power restored. In fact, some of the plugs completely lost all ability to communicate with Alexa and I had to reconnect with a factory reset. I have already noticed connection issues or communication issues within the very first week. Conclusion: If ANY claim that's advertised is false, I would stay far away from that product and probably the entire brand indefinitely. It is absolutely out of this world ridiculous and beyond absurd. It proves extreme incompetence on multiple levels.
