The Linksys 5-Port Gigabit Switch is an excellent Ethernet splitter when additional internet devices need a port. It is a simple plug-and-play device that is exceptionally fast.
This is the way I chose to hook up devices to my ethernet and did so without losing any speed to my PC. (previous attempts with a wifi router lost internet speed to the PC.)
So far a great switch. Work's flawless.
Easy set up, plug in cables and its done. Works as advertised
Theres not really any additional programming available but it works great
item was exactly as described and works great
The router is just what I need. It works as advertised.
This device has worked pretty well for slightly over a year. have several devices hooked up qnd have had no issues. came home today qnd discovered all my electronics thet are plugged in have no connection. I assumed it was the router so I unplugged it and reset it. Turns out it was not the router. When I begin to unplug cables to see if that would reset the connection i noticed only 2 of the 4 cables plugged in had a light. When i unplugged them the lights stayed on even with all cables removed the same 2 lights stayed in 3ven when un plugging the splitter itself. no matter how the cables get mixed none of them work. Ive come to the conclusion that this splitter has failed after 14 months (March 2024 - May 2025). I would expect something this simple should be able to last at least 3 years but what do I know.
Would love to review this item, but ithasn't got here yet. Item is a walmart shipped product but has been delayed for no apparent reason. Cancellation has been requested, but even though it is a Walmart provided item, it has not been cancelled. The same issue is happening with the Ethernet cables my girlfriend ordered. After getting used to great service from Walmart, this is a big dissappointment.
This was used and missing the plug. Re-ordered from ebay and it came as it should. I ordered thee items from here at the same time and only one was correct. At least on ebay you can see the actual sellers history. Here you have no idea..........
