It's Loctite—if you're buying this, you probably already know what it's for. It's one of the best threadlockers on the market and does exactly what it's supposed to do. You really can't go wrong with it if used correctly. That said, I've seen plenty of people mess it up, so do yourself a favor and actually read the instructions before using it. A little goes a long way, and proper use makes all the difference…
Have used loctite for over 30 years, work and personal, not much to say except it's the only seal/lock product I'll use. After seeing it used in Lockheed Martin, electric boat in CT ( make our nuclear subs), tested it and was hooked.
I've used this product before but for automotive applications. Using it for assembly of non automotive nuts and bolts is more practical for wider use around the entire household. Metal to metal contact can be kept locked in place.
Had To Lock A Slightly Stripped Thread And It Worked. Yet This Liquid Type Is Messy If I Bought It Again I Would Buy A Gel Version. Also You Get A Tiny Amount For The Price.
If you have some loose screws and wish they weren't so loose you could try going to a local psychiatrist or you could go for a little bit of Loctite. Just squirt a little bit on the threads and then screw in the screw, or tighten the nut and give it a few hours to dry. When it's try you'll till be able to loosen it - but it won't be very easy. Keep those loose screws from falling out with Loctite!
I had a brand new chair with a wobbly armrest, somehow the screw was not seated right. I ordered the Loctite Threadlocker Blue, read the directions. I applied it to a new screw and screwed it into the armrest. I waited the drying time before trying it, and when I did, the armrest is solid and tight. This saved the chair, and the armrest.
First time using this, didn't know what to expect. It works beautifully, plain and simple. Had some bolts that kept coming off due to vibration and movement and now they remain in place no matter what.
When you need to lock a fastener, Loctite is the only way to go. The knock-offs may be cheaper, but cheaper is not better. Especially if you need a removable thread locker, trust the brand that pioneered the technology to hold things tight while still allowing removal later.
I was having a problem with the screws in my eyeglass frames loosing too often. After researching a bit I saw this glue recommended by several people as being a great way to lock the screws in place. My first attempt was not impressive when it came to holding but I am going to attempt it again as I just do not want to have to tighten the screws every other day. Afraid the screw will wear out and then I will definitely have a problem. I also warn you to be very careful as if you drip it on your frame or yourself it is a mess to clean!
Because you guys sent me this instead of super glue. then you demanded I return it to the store which is hard for me to do hence the reason I use this service. Couldn't get it returned, wasted my time and money.
