Customer Insights: Rated 4.5/5 from 14 reviews.
I was a little unsure after I read the previous reviews. I went ahead and ordered it anyway and was surprised at how nice it was. The straps and the entire tote are plenty strong to support the weight of the dutch oven. The zipper is a strong nylon zipper. I recommend it.
Does just what I wanted it to do. Very well made.
So far so good
I bought the deep 10” oven and didn't think this would fit. I was wrong it fits perfectly and keeps all the camp fire debris out of my vehicle. Good, strong bag and I'm glad I bought it.
Arrived on time ! Fits nice and will be perfect for a carrying it when camping. Not bad price.
Very nice and sturdy. Really liked it.
I have a 10" Lodge bag and a 12" of another brand. Both are good. Keep the rest if your gear clean from the ashes. Good storage too. Clean, dry, season, leave rice inside or at least a paper towel, and 3 folded paper towels between lid and pot for moisture wicks.
Nice carrier and storage for your dutch oven. I have the 10 inch Lodge and another brand for the 12 inch. Both are very good. Highly recommend having a bag to keep the rest of your camping equipment clean.
I don't want to gouge a product without truly testing so caveat emptor: if you desire something tougher than a plastic bag etc to keep campfire grime off everything else in your kit then yes, this is okay for that. I would not recommend or give it higher stars because i FEEL like the zipper will not hold up with time. If you are carrying aluminum then yes, this will be okay but I'm not optimistic that toting a cast iron DO around by these two straps is going to be a good idea. Note also I have no other product to compare it to but this is not cushioned. I think any product will ultimately have holes punched/worn with time from the legs and friction. But for 25 bucks if it keeps things organized and the dirt out then hey, its so much lighter than building the DO its own box. I bought one for each size and am glad I did. But I will carry my DO's in their box.
This cover is ok quality, but about two years later the feet of the dutch ovens have worn through the bottom. We do use our ovens several times a month, so if you are just using these for storage they'll be fine, but if you carry them around much you'll need to plan on replacing these sooner than I'd expect from the Lodge brand. I chose these over a non-brand version expecting a little better quality. If I end up purchasing these again, I'll try cutting a piece of wood to insert into the bottom to see if that helps.
