Lodge Cast Iron 15" Carbon Steel Skillet, CRS15, with double loop handles

I love my old carbon steel wok. I have gone through so many skillets and fry pans in my life and I'm tired of surfaces that scratch, have toxic materials, stick and don't cook well. I love this carbon steel skillet. I tossed four other old pans. I wish I had bought all carbon steel cookware when I was young and had never wasted so much money on inferior products that have needed to be replaced over and over again. I have one pan now that actually works with me. My only displeasure is that it doesn't heat evenly, but given it's large 15 inch diameter I can't really complain much about that. Cooking pancakes, cooking veggie burgers, heating tortillas, browning larger items, etc.: it works like a charm. I haven't tried it in the oven yet, but I expect to soon.

You cannot go wrong with Lodge products. First of all the quality. It's heavy seasoned carbon steel. Secondly, it's made in the good old USA, specifically in Tennessee. Heat up evenly. Cleans like a breeze. You better go get one!!!

I bought this because I had just taken a paella making class. I saw this and the price and it was a no brainer. Lodge has always made quality products, you really can't go wrong. This same skillet sells for $25 more and the specialty cookware stores. I wanted something durable; the non-Lodge pans seemed flimsy. This is a pan I can use to make paella on the grill.

Great pan will last for us the rest of our lives. I love this pan. so far I have cooked steaks they came out perfect

Very heavy and nice, looking for a small one so I am fully equipped!! No more purchases for many pans that eventually will die

This is an excellent pan! Anyone with bad feedback on this doesn't understand how to cook on carbon steel. This is quite heavy! This conducts heat beautifully! I have a pan for everything! This is a welcomed addition! You can use this in your oven also! The shape allows you to use it for making a pizza as well. Don't pay attention to the naysayers that aren't good Cooks to begin with. This is a fantastic buy and one of the thickest available online! Better get one before they are all gone! PS my photo shows it when I doused it with oil.

The size and the beveled edge are exactly what I was looking to acquire. I don't own new cast iron and after searching online I couldn't find an 'experienced' CI pan to suit my fancy. This is a Lodge, I have heard good things and am in process of seasoning the pan now. The bottom has remained flat, with no warpage nor ballooning. The big handles fit a real man's size hands and it is very versatile. So far, (3 weeks in) I would say"If you too need a good-sized easy to cook skillet: this one works well".

I love this pan. We got it for campfire cooking when we go car camping and it's great. Cooked eggs, pancakes and hash browns over the campfire with no sticking or issues. I spent time seasoning it and I think that helped. It's a great pan and I plan on using it for regular cooking too.

The label leaves residue on the inside of the skillet. Should be placed somewhere else. This is the 2nd lodge skillet that has had the same issue

Liked the size and the rivetless design. Returned mine because it was warped and wouldn't work well on induction surface. Would have been fine for a gas top or fire. This seems to be an issue with the Lodge carbon steel. Have had to return a couple of them because of this. Expect better from a made in USA product.
