Fun color great flavor
This is such unique masa. It makes beautiful purple corn tortillas. It felt the same as working with yellow or white masa. I have been buying this regularly since trying it.

must have if you're into authentic Hispanic food!
So good! You can simply add lettuce sour cream and eat like that. (Combined with sopa de fideo!! To die for) simple , healthy foods are always a go to!!

Beautiful color!
This masa was great, a little grainier but not a problem when mixing. I made tortillas and quesadillas that were delicious and looked beautiful thanks to its beautiful color! Will continue to buy.

It Really Is Better!
It's been many years since I made blue corn tortillas, but after making some today, reminding myself just how good they are, I don't think I'll ever go back to white;) They REALLY ARE better! The maseca azul has a slightly buttery flavor, a more pronounced "corn" (mmhm, cawn...) aroma and flavor, and a noticeably more pronounced umami. Another serious benefit to these deeper flavors is, I was able to make delicious tortillas with no salt whatsoever. With the white masa, I always need to add a pinch of salt, or else they're bland. So, for people on low-salt or no-salt diets, the Maseca Azul is clearly a superior choice! Whatever the case may be, this is gonna be my masa of choice from now until the end of my days. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Now all I need to do, is find the 20 pound bags of it...
