Maya Kaimal Tikka Masala Simmer Sauce, 12.5 oz

I used to spend about 3 hours on Sundays crafting my own curry base. Kitchen meditation. Those days are gone. I've tried numerous ready-made jar sauces. Most ok, not great. Then I tried chef Maya Kaimal's tikka masala. Wow! Give one of her sauces a try. Really good. I add a healthy amount of garlic/chili sauce. Nice!

MILD tikka masala in a jar. No prep needed, just pour, stir and heat. I was just using for two, so I had leftover sauce which I put in a ziplock bag, dated and froze. My husband feels this has little taste. I think it’s perfect. We both can taste the heat. Many good ingredients. Note: does contain milk.

In the past, I actually used to buy a two-pack that included a different sauce I didn't even like that much, just because I wanted to get my hands on this Tikka Masala. It makes dinner incredibly simple to prepare; I just add it to my chicken while it's cooking and then serve the whole thing over rice. If you’re looking for a convenient way to get a great flavor without much effort, I highly recommend giving this a try.

I've tried several Maya Kaimal simmer sauces, including Coconut Curry, Creamy Korma, and Kashmiri Curry, and they are all very good. This was the first time I tried the Tikka Masala simmer sauce, and as I expected, it was very good too. It had just the right amount of spice for me. Plenty of flavor with a mild kick, but not too hot. I would buy again. Maya Kaimal simmer sauces are perfect for easy-to-make, authentic-tasting Indian dishes at home.

really delicious! has many uses: add to stir fry veg at the end, use in crock pot with chicken, or on top of baked chicken pieces prior to serving ... not spicy hot, but very nice mix of Indian spices ...

We've tried other Indian style simmer sauces and Maya Kaimal makes the best. The kid loves the mild Tikka Masala sauce, which is delicious, and we like all the other, spicier blends. It's easier and less expensive to buy the jars of sauce than to try to make the sauces at home, so it's a very good value. We HIGHLY recommend this line of simmer sauces.

This is the best sauce I've had that wasn't served fresh at a restaurant! Full of flavor and has just enough kick that the heat is there but not overwhelming! Love love love, you have a new forever customer! My only complaint is I want it in a bigger jar! Truly, well done

We normally order curry from a local Indian restaurant, but we thought we would try save money and cook it ourselves. I have made Tikka Masala from scratch before, but it was always a chore and took me at least a couple of hours to get “just right.” I wanted to try this sauce without doctoring it up to see if we could whip this dish up without any fuss! We got 2 jars of sauce, 2 lbs of chicken breast, diced potatoes, carrots and onion and minced garlic. Other than adding salt and pepper to pre-cook the chicken and veggies, all we had to do was add the sauce as is, and it was delicious!!! I did add a stick of salted butter when I browned the veggies and some hot chili pepper powder for heat, but those ingredients were not necessary at all. This sauce is seriously already seasoned to perfection!

I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with it, but I put it on breaded chicken with rice once and cooked with chicken and put with rice, both were good (pretty sure you're supposed to cook it)

I’ve tried many Indian sauces on the market, and honestly, this is the only one I’d call decent based on what’s available right now. It tastes closer to a proper curry base than a generic “butter chicken” sauce, which is rare. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best option I’ve found so far. I would recommend this to both Indian and non-Indian friends, especially anyone looking for a quick way to satisfy Indian food cravings. I’ve been searching for something like this for a while, and I’m genuinely grateful this product exists. One small suggestion for the makers: the garam masala note in this flavor is a bit strong. It could be toned down slightly, as most curries don’t need that much. Overall, this is a really good product and currently the only decent one of its kind on the market.
