I recently received McCormick black whole peppercorns to try out for my honest review. I love to use McCormick spices when cooking. These peppercorns were definitely fresh and very tasty. They are great to add to food while cooking, sprinkling them on top of cooked food, as well as canning vegetables. I like to use them in my pepper grinder so it's ready to go. I definitely recommend these to keep on hand for everyday cooking. 👍
I use black pepper in almost every dish I cook, and I can honestly say McCormick is the best brand to use. I've used cheap alternatives before, and you can definitely tell the difference. McCormick's pepper flavor is crisper and fuller. You can also see the difference when you grind it, having the black coloring its suppose to versus the grey/mottled color of the cheaper varieties. All in all - well worth the price.
I love Whole Black Pepper by McCormick! It's my favorite way to have black pepper in my seasoning pantry! I love seasoning my food with whole black pepper and grinding it because it's fresh and flavorful! I add to my meats and on salads! It's so delicious!
I love using this whole black pepper in my Caesar salad. Freshly ground pepper adds so much more flavor than pre-ground pepper, and it gives the salad that perfect little kick without overpowering the dressing. The peppercorns are easy to grind and have a great, fresh flavor. A simple ingredient that makes a noticeable difference in a homemade Caesar salad!
Just got my sample of McCormick Whole Black Pepper this week, and I'm already a fan. Freshly ground, it has a bold, aromatic bite that perks up everything from scrambled eggs to steak. The peppercorns look plump and consistent, and the flavor is sharp with a hint of citrus, without being harsh. It's early days, but the first impression is great, and I'm looking forward to using the rest of it.
Compared to other whole black pepper I've tried this one definitely right away *smells* much more peppery. The taste also falls in line with that experience as it is much more noticeable and enjoyable compared to competitors' offerings. At a reasonable price (which McCormick is not really known for) I would definitely pick this up again, but I'm not sure that this would be worth what they'd ask for it. It's great pepper but it's not good enough to justify the premium markup. If you don't mind the premium price though then you definitely won't be disappointed with this!
We cook a lot at my house, and there's always a need for pepper. I received these peppercorns as a free product from McCormick, which was perfect, as we were running low on peppercorns. We like to use freshly ground pepper, so it's nice to have more on hand. The only thing I would dock a point for is that the packaging doesn't come with a grinder, so I had to move it to my own pepper grinder. Other than that, it was full, and the pepper was great!
I received this product as a free sample for product testing. I am really glad that I did, however, because I really enjoy having these peppercorns as a staple in my house. They are not too expensive, and the bottle is a good size for what you pay. The flavor of the peppercorns is exactly what I want, just enough spice and flavor without being overwhelming. I enjoy these with a coarse crack, but they taste great with a fine crack too. I put them in a refillable pepper mill and they last forever. Definitely recommend!!
I received McCormick Whole Black Pepper for free through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. I decided to try it while preparing Cacio e Pepe, a classic Italian pasta dish where black pepper is one of the star ingredients. I crushed the whole peppercorns using a mortar and pestle, and I immediately noticed how fresh and aromatic they were. The wonderful aroma really stood out during cooking and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I added the freshly crushed pepper while preparing the dish and finished it with an extra sprinkle. The result reminded me of enjoying a delicious, freshly prepared Cacio e Pepe at an authentic Italian restaurant! I especially loved the freshness and rich aroma of the peppercorns. It's a lovely ingredient to have in the kitchen, especially when preparing dishes where the quality of the seasoning really matters.
Solid, spicy peppercorns. It's got that wonderfully zippy pepper flavor you expect and they seem to grind and crack easily. I like the whole ones since I can add them to my grinder, or do a very rough crush to have bigger pieces for meat and veggie marinades.
