McCormick Non-GMO Gluten Free Pure Anise Extract, 2.0 fl oz Box

Have yet to try this for "any type of cooking %26/or baking" , which was MAIN purpose when got it,tho it's been to hot %26 humid except for "No Bake cookies" . Although have mixed it with water and vinegar in spray bottle to help cut down on the vinegar smell.

We've been buying this Anise extract for decades to make Pizzelles. Previously, it was only available in 1 oz. bottles. Now that they have it in a 2 oz. bottle, the unit price is better. Very good quality extract. I don't know why the reviews section of stars for this item is showing vanilla, because it's not. It's Anise which is a licorice flavor that's used in baking many types of Italian cookies.

Stocking up to make holiday pizzelles. Good quality. Not cheap but never had any problems with McCormick spices.

I make pitzelles regularly to share with neighbors, friends and service providers! This is the best anise out there!

I haven't bought this Brand of this particular Flavoring in a few years and it still lives up to its Name.

I tried McCormick Anise Extract for the first time to bake some cookies for my friends, and they loved them. The flavor came through beautifully... bold but smooth, with that classic anise aroma that feels nostalgic without being overpowering. Everybody wanted the recipe. This extract made the whole batch taste like something special, and I'll definitely keep it stocked in my kitchen.

So this extract is totally out of left field for me. I actually didn't know what it was when I received it. However now, I'm planning to keep it stocked. I used it to make the flavoring with icing instead of the usual vanilla or lemon. I actually combined this with vanilla and it was Divine!

I'm so impressed with McCormick Pure Anise Extract! The flavor is beautifully vibrant with just the right amount of sweetness, and the liquid consistency makes it effortless to measure and mix into anything. McCormick consistently produces incredible baking supplies, and this extract is no exception.

I found this to be the perfect extract to start off my fall baking this year. The extract itself carries the perfect anise flavor and a little goes a long way to really give you the flavor punch you need. I found it blended well in my go to fall muffins recipe and it truly elevated the flavors overall. Highly recommend!

The first bottle purchased was very good. I use it to bake biscotti. However, today I received a second bottle and the box was open with leakage. I couldn't find where the bottle was leaking so I squeezed the bottle and the bottle safety cap had a pin hole. I did notice right away that the bottle was in the opened box facing the wrong way. I got rid of it and requested a refund. Not sure what happened in this case, but I will be watching real closely from now on.
