I really like how they preserved the olives this time. The ingredients I know and I'm not allergic to. I like these olives because I don't get a rash if I eat them. They taste great and I don't even like olives. I wanted to eat something that wouldn't hurt so I got olives. They really taste nice. The higher quality preservatives add a nice flavor too. Citric acid tastes good.
How i love these olives. I've tried several kinds of packaged castelvetrano olives, and these are the best taste and value. If you're not familiar with these, its a moderately firm, thicker olive with less salt than most glassed olives. The crunch varies from bottle to bottle but most are at least a bit crunchy. This brand is cheaper than other stores, and tastes better.
A lot of people have never heard of these, let alone tried them, because they're green. Unlike most green olives that are very salty, these have a mild salty taste and are delicious. I've seen lots of recipes that call for these and they add something really tasty to the dishes. Highly recommend these!!
A little pricey, but there's just no comparison to the regular small pimento stuffed olives I've eaten my whole life. I was tired of taking the pimentos out of every olive because I use green olives for many dishes %26 nearly every day. I came across these with no pimentos. They're twice the size of the pimento filled ones of any brand. I did a little research %26 learned that the best tasting %26 best quality green olives are "Castelvetrano," which is a town and comune in the province of Trapani, Sicily, in southern Italy. I first ordered one jar to try; they definitely have to be refrigerated for the optimum taste. I went through that jar quickly %26 then ordered three more. I'm on my last jar %26 plan on ordering a lot more today! I absolutely, definitely, highly recommend these delicious Castelvetrano olives!
I love these green olives! They're much tastier, to me, than manzanillas. They're milder and not quite as salty. They are meaty and succulent. I only wish they were less expensive!
we love these for a treat to dinner. theyre quite a bit less salty flavored. sea salt is used i would assume rather than iodinized .. weve got hooked on them and the fridge always has a jas as so foes the pantry
My favorite store bought big brand castelvetrano! They are tender and buttery with an impeccable flavor. You get a nice amount per jar. They're definitely better than your standard olive bar olives.
These Mezzetta pitted Italian Castelvetrano olives are delicious. We've enjoyed them at breakfast (with feta cheese, flatbread, cucumbers and tomatoes), at lunch, at dinner, and as a mid-day snack.
I tried this brand when I couldn't get the Pearls brand Castelvetrano Olives and find they are acceptable, although not quite as good as the Pearls brand. This brand is a bit saltier and the olives are in pieces, not whole as with the Pearls brand. Hoping Pearls will be back in stock but in the meantime, this is a close second.
I bought these olives to use the brine for martinis. Olives taste like a cross between queen pimento olives and black olives. Texture is like black olives. Brine was good in the martinis.
