Before purchasing the PHI VILLA 28 Offset Smoker. I purchased two other smokers. They were cheaply built. One at Walmart and the other at Home Depot. I returned both for poor quality and steel was paper thin. Plus, it would cost me a fortune just buying fuel. After more research, I found the PHI VILLA at Walmart. A review was done on YouTube. It convinced me, so I bought it. It was a complete surprise. Built to last, heavy steel. Included in the smoke stack was a gasket. Less fuel to use to smoke food. The doors were very heavy. Steel wheels, too. This company knows how to build smokers. I finally found a real smoker, and it's very affordable. There's an upgrade I wish I could've bought. I am a very happy guy. Thank you.
great grill assembly was not too bad some of the stuff at the end that make no sense but I figured it out no big deal couple little dents but that makes the grill I'm happy with that great quality and it should last me a long time I haven't cooked on it yet but I'm going to
Thick, spacious, easy to move %26 hold’s heat fairly well. The assembly was tedious but not overly complex, a lot of pieces. Overall well built in my opinion.
i got this for myself and my oartner because we grill out all of the time, the assembly took about 4 hours but totally worth it, it onky takes time because of all of the parts, it is not hard to assemble. i am iver-all happy that I purchased this. I would wait until it goes on sale :)
Very good smoker for the money. Pros: Easy to get temp stabilized, adequate smoking surface area, good sized firebox and good construction for the money. Cons: Metal is thin, doesn’t seal tight on firebox and smoker lid and putting it together was a long process Overall very satisfied for the money since it was a Black Friday sale but would not say this if it were full price. I ordered fire seal for the doors and openings.
First of all this didn’t come with a user manual with instructions of how to put together even though it came in a sealed package. Secondly a few screws were missing so we had to improvise and make it work since it was the day before Fourth of July. It is a very powerful grill and pushes alot of heat overall.
No assembly instructions. Walmart's customer service service said it was because I didnt purchase pro assembly. Sir, why would i pay 99 dollars for an instruction manual?! Thats clearly for someone to assemble the product . I just wanted the manual it stated was included on Walmart's website. Thanks to Captiva, the actual manufacturer of grill, after about 30 minutes of searching I was able to locate the manual.. the seller was also not helpful.. the number goes to a random lady's voicemail that says her manager will call you back
The entire grill is too small, the racks are hard to work around, the smoking section does not close all the way. There is not a way to get the debris out. Overall not impressed with the product. Does not cook even, gets too hot. Poor purchase will be looking for a different one to replace.
box came looking like it had already been opened. it was tor, retaped and the packing materials were all busted up. this was obviously a returned, real old item but the description prior to purchasing doesn't note it. the grill itself was riddled with dents. the shipper had my 115 wife to help carry it up the drive bc there wasn't a dolly in the truck. once I got into it, I was upset from minute one. due to the inconvenience of repacking (which would have been difficult as crappy as the packaging shape was in) and loading a 125 lb into a small car (that wouldn't fit), I decided to try to keep it. the assembly was ridiculously hard. basically, the buyer does ALL the work. once I got it together, it was even more obvious that it was a shabby piece of equipment. The dents were going to prevent a good clothes on the cover and cosmetically it just looked awful to be a supposedly new product. I reached out but was told I would have to take it apart rebox it and send it to a FedEx drop off location or back to a Walmart store. I am not able to do that. that is why we had it shipped to us in the first place. We finally came to a resolution that it would be picked up from our residence. I'm hoping this all moves along well and we are refunded in full. that will be the only positive experience about this entire transaction. buyer beware.
this is the worse grill i have ever cooked on. the tempnwill read on temp but isnt even close to that temp. 3 cooks on it same results all three times. waste of metal
