Purchased the Medea as it had good reviews. Wanted to cool our bedroom at night instead of running our HVAC through the entire house. It was put to use right away as we had a few warmer days recently and it was very effective. Noise was better than expected and almost no "clunk" as the compressor cycles in and out as many do. Nicely compact, fits perfectly in a corner by the window. We have a crank opening window, so I had to make a custom plug as the adapter kit can only be used for vertical or horizontal sliders. Looking forward to comfortable sleeps through the summer.
a great and powerful air conditioner ! my ac broke and it took two weels to fox but this littlw thing made my room so cold ! best purchase ever
Despite mixed reviews I went and bought it since its on stock if anything I could quickly return it The setup easy with included kit The first night I used it it was like heaven. ACs are a must in summer time. I slept like a baby. Two items to buy additional from doing research: a window lock from home depot (don't drill holes with the included window brackets)) and a low profile cookie tray for drainage sold at Walmart. This unit includes a 1 year warranty and 30 day returns can't go wrong.
I use this in a two car garage to stay cool when I'm working on car...I keep garage door half down it cools pretty good but when i shut the door it gets really cool
Works well. No draw for condensation. You need a buck to collect the water. On humid days you empty a lot.
I like the fact that it is a standup unit, not a window unit and the attachment that comes to vent the hot air outside plus the fact that you can hook it up to a hose to drain the water cause it does produce a lot of water. It takes a lot of moisture out of there so it's kinda like a dehumidifier too. I have it in a beer i like the fact that it is a standup unit, not a window unit and the attachment that comes to vent the hot air outside plus the fact that you can hook it up to a hose to drain the water cause it does produce a lot of water. It takes a lot of moisture out of there so it’s kinda like a dehumidifier too. I have it in a fairly big room that used to be a garage so it does stay on the hotter side in here. It works fairly well
first of all I've been having issues to add protection plan and walmart.com have not been helpful. I've started using this AC at night on the same day I've received it. on second night I've drained the bottom try before the PI alert goes off. I need to take the AC by the edge of stairs so I can use a bucket to gather drained water. the floor is all carpet and I didn't want to roll it so I slightly life the AC. the later I've noticed slight leaking from left front and asof today (4thday) still happening now and then. meanwhile I've been hearing water from inside. on that point I've decided to elevate the AC so I don't have to move it for draining. then I quickly checked the "dehumidifying mode drainage located above the "water collection tray drainage" (all the time AC was off) surely lots of water draining, but not much from bottom tray anymore. most of the time I have the AC on LOW fan and on COOL mode and I would adjust coolness and sometimes keep the unit off for short time. Also the corner of box showed some kinda impact damage. not sure if the slight leaking from front has something to do with it! today is the 4th day. the manual is not very clear on draining and there are tons of water draining from above draining hose. god knows what would happen if I didn't do that cause not much of water drain from the bottom tray!! I'm afraid I ending up returning this AC, but in other hand we are in middle of three digits heat warnings, and I'm senior lady got to handle all these label work.
Product was advertised as new but clearly it was refurbished/used. Upon opening the box and removing the Styrofoam packaging the unit was severely scraped on top. There was water already in the bottom of it, which only occurs if it has been run. The manual/remote package was already opened. I complained to Walmart and they initially offered a %10 refund which was absurd. This thing cost $226. They took it up to %25, which was better. It was way too heavy, bulky, and extremely hot to maneuver it back into the box, to my vehicle, and back to the store for a refund. And then have to wait on a replacement? I think not. It works so far for the room it's in. The noise doesn't bother me. Anything that's not central a/c for this price point is going to be loud. If you need something emergent this unit will suffice, if you're looking for better quality and quiet pay the extra money for a more reputable manufacturer.
I was shocked to find that what I purchased turned out to be a used product missing several parts. When I picked it up and brought it home, I immediately noticed that the remote control and batteries had already been opened and had no packaging. The manual was dirty and had a tear on the cover. The security bracket and two screws were missing. There were only two foam seals instead of the full set. The drain hose and three bolts were also not included. Our home’s AC is currently broken, and the repair technician won’t be able to come for another two days. We bought this unit for temporary use, but unfortunately, it arrived in this unacceptable condition. My wife was very upset and decided right away that we should stay in a hotel for the next couple of days. I’ll be returning this product in a few days. This kind of situation really shouldn’t happen.
It is an air according to its specifications, it indicates that it cools a room or a living room, my room is small and on hot days or regular air it does not cool, only fresh air comes out, so I feel that it is not air because it does not cool the space. I understand that on very hot days heat will not be able to cool enough due to the temperature but it is not enough to keep the environment cool since it only sends fresh air, not cold.
