I am so excited about this product. I order coasters for my new home on Etsy. When they came I decided to send them back because the looked home made. I figured I could make them my self and add a personal touch. This product looked like a good start. So here I go.
Mod Podge Resin Pouring Round Trays are easy and fun to use and decorate. I used acrylic paint to paint the entire tray, added my details, then poured my epoxy resin mixture into the pouring tray. Since I'm pouring the resin directly into the wooden frame, I don't have to worry about taking the resin out of the mold once it sets, it's already ready to go. The results exceeded my expectations for both ease of use and the beauty of the finished product. I will definitely be buying more of these resin pouring trays.
This mod poge resin pouring tray is 12x12x0.37 in big. It is designed for resin pouring. It is made of wood so it can also be painted. It has a raised lip around the edges so you can pour the resin in without it spilling over. The surface is very smooth so acrylic paint will stick to it. It can be used for many items to mod poge. Overall it is a good quality wooden tray with more purposes than one.
I love trying new crafts. I am a very beginner crafter and wanted to try resin crafts. I have seen several videos online and wanted to do something to help decorate my house with. I decided to try mod podge resin pouring round tray. I first pained the tray white using spray paint. Once that dried, I decided I wanted to mix the resin and add color to mine using different color alcohol inks. I used plastic disposable cups to mix my resin and hardener in, a few different ones with the different colors with he alcohol inks. I poured little by little in random patterns on the tray. The resin has some odor to is, so it may be best to use in a well ventilated area. I am really pleased with how the tray turned out. Once the resin dried, the alcohol ink colors really started to shine through. This would make a beautiful piece in the center of a dining room table or as a hanging decoration on a wall. I plan on getting some wire to hang mine from my wall. I would definitely recommend doing the resin tray if you are looking for a new craft to do. I was super impressed of how well it turned out. I will be looking for more resin crafts to do in the near future.
Worked great for our pouring project and arrived without damage. Smooth texture and no rough edges which helps when working with small hands and children. Paint dried quickly enough on this medium and have no complaints.
Great big board. Unfinished and raw edge. As you unwrap the shrinkwrap, a little bark and dirt will fall off, but most stays well intact. I'm going to lightly finish it with some butchers wax and use it for a desert board for a party i'm having
This is a cool piece. I actually have a preserved moth I would like to try to use this with. It’ll be my first time trying resin but I think this will be a great piece for it to go on with some inks and maybe other pieces.
I love doing paint pouring. Usually, I just use an easel. So, I was exited to use this tray. Unfortunately, it did not come out well. I like the concept of this tray. The paint is supposed to stay inside then you can pour a resin on it. The paint spilled over the side & I tried to wipe it off but it did not come off. I think with a lot more practice I can get the hang of this. I do like the concept.
This set comes with the wood tray and the two part resin combo pack. The instructions were a little unclear about how to out different colors in the resin or make it kind of swirly. I think an experienced crafter would do fine with this. The tray seems well made.
Resin crafting is really hot right now, so I was anxious to get this kit to try out some coasters. I have done resin one other time with a friend and didn't have a great success. We made acrylic keychains and unfortunately the finished product had a lot of bubbles in it and not a smooth surface so there is a little bit of a learning curve. This particular kit worked pretty well for the coasters and included dye. Save save yourself some trouble and buy this kit here on walmart.com.
