Educational Fun

PiperP April 1, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son thoroughly enjoyed his dig kit! The directions were easy to follow and the mess wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Bonus points for not including a screen for an educational out of school activity.

So fun

cristinar13_2064 October 5, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was really neat messing with this. My kids got super into it. They learned a lot about formation. It was sturdy enough for them to have to use force but not to where it was too much for them.

Fun and educational

destinib1_1284 May 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a cute little activity! My 6 and 2 year old both enjoyed spending time with me doing this and learning about gemstones. It came with a cute little pamphlet teaching us about the gemstones we would find in this Little Rock. We did have to wet it a little to help break it open as it's very chalky to just pick at without the extra moisture.

Lots of fun for the kids!

chrisa82_6278 May 5, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids enjoyed this so much! They had a great time digging out the rocks and gems. They were referring the box to identify which ones were being extracted. It was nice to see them excited about their very own dig!

Easy and Fun Kit For Kids.

jeseniac1886_8269 May 4, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was fun! Me and my kids really enjoyed it. This took us about 15 minutes to get open (mind you with children) once we got all the rocks out we read about them and used the magnifying glass to see what we could see in the rocks. My kids are involved in a stem program so this was exciting to us. I like that it was easy to set up and had simple directions.

PERFECT for school aged kids!

jomomma2017_2093 May 12, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SUPER CUTE idea for kids that will keep them busy and entertained for awhile, My only issue is the tools should be a little bigger and adding water helps but it makes it super messy so I recommend doing outside or a table because it turns into clay like when you wet it. This kept my daughter entertained for a little over two hours. She loved that the instructions showed which rocks she could find and dig for.

Would be a fun summer activity

amandaj451_5517 May 18, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 year old loved this experience. His siblings were at birthday parties so it was an at home fun experiment for him that didn't require a ton of supervision. It was a little messy but he thought the rocks were the coolest thing and he has them sitting on his shelf in his room. I'm not sure of the pricing on this item but it kept him entertained while I was able to get some things done around the house.

Fun to do with kids

feistyginger_6766 May 13, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was really fun activity to do with my kid it comes with a piece of paper that tells you all the gems you're going to get and what they are. The Rock itself is really hard to dig into even after wetting it like it's suggests. My kid did struggle trying to get them I also mean my husband had to help. The gems are all pretty! It doesn't cost that much so I think it's a good activity to buy for your kids

Finished quickly

alig61_142 May 27, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old daughter was the one who dug for these rocks and gems. She did it pretty quickly and without any adult help. This is a one-and-done activity - maybe good for a rainy day or a visit at the grandparents' house. The quality is nice.

National Geographic STEM Kits

karrief_2817 May 25, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] National Geographic STEM kits are an educational tool for young kids to get a fun take on science. Also each purchase helps fund research, education and conservation which is a great initiative! The outer space dig kit contains 1 dig brick, 5 rocks and gemstones, a magnifying glass, a dig tool with brush and a learning guide with instructions. Each kit includes five genuine rock and gemstone specimens. Not for children under three years old due to small pieces that can present a choking hazard.
