This is a nice hot plate to use. It heats up fast and it looks nice! Shipping was great and packed well. The item is as described, thank you.
Just as described, works great, used very day delivered. It's great.
this thing is hot enough to cook anything just make sure you have a three prong outlet to plug it into with sufficient power supply it pulls a lot of electricity but works very well
This 1500 watt burner does much better than those with lower wattage for cooking. Much faster too. This one seems durable as well.
It took some time for the hot plate to heat up. After that, it holds the temperature very well. I used it to make soup, hot pot and stir-fry. Very easy to clean. Glad that I bought this to cook outside.
THE UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A "LOW" SETTING. THE UNIT TURNS ON AT THE "MEDIUM-HIGH" POSITION.
Stainless steel outside is good and seems durable but the controls are unstable and flimsy. The temperature control started failing after 5 months and completely failed to turn on after 6 months.
Loved this when it worked. Sometimes it would just shut off then come back on about 5 minutes later. It died after just 3 months. The solid burners take a long time to cool down so if you need to turn it down you just take the pot off of the burner. I was heating up water and it just quit working. Dead. Won't recommend this to others and will not buy an other.
I know my hot plates. I've used them for years. Cast-iron ones heat up fairly slowly, stay hot, and struggle to cool down. This means going from rolling boil to simmer pretty much requires taking the pot off the burner for a bit, because the cooking surface will be hot for another half an hour or more after you turn it off. The cast-iron plate is best not gotten wet and just scrubbed with a brush and little vinegar when it truly needs it. Sponges will just disintegrate on the abrasive surface, and using soap and water just encourages rust. The metallic surface will quickly look terrible, though, without diligent cleaning. It may not really be worth it to try to make it pristine. It won't stay that way long. This one broke after about ten uses, about two weeks. By then, the metal was mostly black with stains, and the light cover popped out. It smelled a bit funny that last day, but I thought it was just new-cookpot smell, since I happened to be making gravy in a new pot. The wiring must have melted somehow, despite a short cooking time, because it no longer turns on.
Broke after a few months of use. Writing on knobs also wore off after only a month..so cant tell when its on or off. Burner itself is discolored and cant be restored to original black so it always looks dirty. When it was working...it did cook well but I definately would NOT purchase.
