Excellent tasting and smelling EVOO. I originally purchased Newman's, as I began drinking a Tablespoon of EVOO every night before bed. I now have continued to use it to cook with, put it in my drinking water during the daytime and drizzle it on my salads. I love the health boosts it has given me in so me different ways and tastes good too!! Thank you 😊
I have never bought this brand olive oil before but it was on sale and I do like the Newman products. I also like that they give money to charities. I was not disappointed in my purchase. The taste was delicious! I used it in salads, low heat cooking, and on bread. Very smooth and tasty!
We have used Newman's extra virgin Olive Oil for atleast 15 years. We love the taste, every time. Try it on your baked potatoes, rub it on, wrap them in foil, bake. They are delicious. Try it on your grilled chicken for sandwiches. Yum. We highly recommend Newman's Olive Oul. Plus the profit from sales goes to benefit children's programs.
I have spent $25 on a bottle of Atlas because I wanted to try it. I knew that I wanted organic, first cold-pressed, unfiltered, and in a glass bottle. This was important to me. I will never buy olive oil in a plastic bottle. I just opened Newman's Own Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, First Cold Pressed and tasted it. I also applied it to my arms, hands, and elbows since this is how I moisturize. Our skin is porous, so it is important what we put on our skin. I also tasted it, and it has a mild fruity/nutty flavor. I will dip some ciabatta bread in it once the expected order arrives. There is something that Carapelli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold Extracted, Contains Polyphenols and Antioxidants has that I absolutely love, love! They have the slow pour opening and that sold me. I am sharing this so that other olive oil brands should consider since that was an A attention to detail on Carapelli's marketing team. Bravo to them. I am fair, objective, and transparent. If any brand would like me to do a review, then let me know. The product must be organic, and I am particular with what I consume.
I was happy to see the Paul Newman organic EV olive oil available for shipping, (actually ended up 1 day delivery), when Walmart was out of their brand in my area. Newman's price is higher than Walmart's per ounce, however Newman's is still a really good value at Walmart prices. I love the Walmart organic EVO, but I'd say Newman's is a little more 'gourmet' in taste in that it has that mild peppery undertone. Both are excellent choices.
Very picky about Olive Oil. I don't necessarily buy the most expensive but I like to try a brand name. This taste was really good and fresh. Everything I have used it for has been very good. I saute and make dressing and it really performs well. And the cost is reasonable.
"Paul Newman's Own" is a trusted brand I trust. Buying olive oil can be scary because of the scams of putting cheaper or even non-olive oil products in the bottle, so I usually just buy the cheapest so that it wouldn't be that different anyway. Then I decided to pay a bit more for this trusted brand founded by a guy with character who ties sales to charities. BOY WAS I GLAD! This olive oil is good enough to drink alone, ha! It is velvety on the tongue, with a smooth taste. I don't even put the bottle back into the cupboard anymore- I leave it on the counter... even a bit lavished on toast in the morning with a sprinkle of cinnamon! I don't buy pre-made salad dressing but instead trickle Paul Newman's olive oil all over the lettuce, tomatoes, etc of my salads, and add some nice lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. Yum! I think I'll never go back!
I tried the great value brand after this one and ended up with acid reflux issues. Went back to this one after just a few uses of the other. The taste and the quality and the fact it doesn't upset my system makes all the difference.
I take this everyday to stop heartburn. Shopped 4 stores to compare price and my Walmart was so much cheaper than other stores and always in stock. Very good value and the product is better than most I have tried.
Newman's is solid. It's a single-source oil from Tunisia, has the USDA Organic seal, and comes in dark glass to keep things fresh. The main drawbacks are no harvest date and no NAOOA quality seal, but it still its a good everyday oil. We use it for scrambled eggs every morning.
