I drink a lot of tea and recently bought this Ninja Kettle, after a bad experience with a different one from another company. It’s truly the best kettle I’ve ever owned. I love the preset options for green tea, black tea, oolong, and herbal tea, plus the quick boil button is super convenient. It looks sleek, feels very sturdy, and is easy to clean. I couldn’t be happier with it!
I'm happy that walmart has this kettle. The blue color is no longer sold on Ninja's site or Amazon. It's on the compact side, holds only ~1.5 L of water. There is an array of options for tea types (each option has a custom temp to it) but honestly I just use it to boil water. The speed is about the same to other electric kettles I've used, no innovation there. The auto on/off is really handy; if you move the kettle, the stand turns on. After a minute or two of inactivity, the stand will turn off.
This is the nicest kettle I have ever owned. I have coffee and tea drinkers in the house and this was able to replace several machines. This is very accurate which is important if you brew different types of tea, which I do. It heats quickly, and hold the temperature really well. I love that it has the well known Ninja tone (if you have anything Ninja you will know what I am talking about haha) that lets me know when the water is ready. I really hope they continue to make this kettle because I have tried many brands and styles and this is the best one!
As a family of three adults, who start their day with hot lemon water, make French press coffee all morning and drink hot tea all afternoon we use this product more than your ‘average consumer'. We ABSOLUTLY agree it is the best electric kettle we've owned in the US. The inside small ‘max water level' marker has orange on it, so very easy to see when filling it in shadow of the sink. It is also quite easy to clean inside with just adding some vinegar to the bottom. The outside wipes clean with soap and water (without leaving water spots). The capacity (7 cups 1.75 liters) is the best you'll find while still looking sleek and ‘minimalistic' on your counter. It does make beeping sounds when turning it on/off and when it finishes heating…and the water boil sound is not subtle-so making it in a tiny house when other people are sleeping isn't 100% quiet-but we've had much worse kettles over the years. It wouldn't prevent me from recommending. We've used it daily for three months and it still looks brand new. The different heat settings is nice and the ‘hold' button is amazing for the ADHD brain that forgets what you're doing and yet when you come back later you find your boiling water still waiting for you! The cord wraps inside the under bottom-so no straggler cord in your counter! My one challenge is getting my hand inside to wipe the vinegar around when cleaning-but for context, I have large hands (use x-large surgical gloves). I suppose the alternative would be allowing the lid to fully hinge back toward the container and I feel that would make it seem less durable. I'm super happy with this purchase and will buy another for family and friends as gift season approaches.
Here @ Lava Smoothie in Kurtis Town, and due to the cold rain, have started selling hot drinks. Purpose to choose this brand and product is because it has temp control! Now if a child wants hot cocoa it can be perfect temp for them Price when I searched was actually on roll back and got a great price! But even at the retail price is still a great price!
This was unexpectedly a great kettle that matches the features of more expensive kettles but much cheaper. My widely-recommended OXO water kettle recently broke, and I purchased this Ninja kettle to see if it would hold up. It's not a popular product yet, but I imagine it will eventually be so. It's performance shocked me in a good way. I use my kettle mainly for pour over coffee on a daily basis, but do enjoy brewing delicate teas sometimes. The boil time is about 4 min, the heating is silent, the exterior is not scalding hot, the various preset temperatures are convenient and accurate, the kettle holds a lot of water, and importantly, it has a large opening and spout to make filling, cleaning, and pouring easy. Again, I was shocked how good this is. I've own the Cuisinart PefecTemp, the OXO Brew, the Bonavita goose neck, and various Hamilton beach kettles, and have to admit that the Ninja impressed me. My only gripes about this kettle is that the pot does not fit sturdy on the base....there is a wobble. Second, the base is a little bulky with all those preset temp buttons. But the cheap cost and spot-on functionality of this kettle more than makes up. I really hope this one lasts me more than 5 years.
I love my attractive new kettle, in the few times I gave used it so far it has worked perfectly. I even love it's little R2D2 chirp telling me the water is ready. After studying all reviews, I am careful to empty it completely and dry the interior with a dish towel immediately after each use, to prevent possible future issues with scale. A very serious "con": I am dismayed by the plastic fittings inside the kettle, which are submerged in the water - I avoid plastics wherever possible - they are proven carcinogens as well as a disaster for the environment. I am going online to see how others have dealt with the plastic, while the lid is permanent, the water level stick is removable and not necessary to the working of the kettle, as long as one measures the water going in. I use a glass pint sized measuring cup to add filtered water, which avoids the danger of getting water on the outside and possibly dripping into the base. Removing the plastic water level indicator stick will probably void the warranty, but our health is far more important (I now regret paying the extra for an extended warranty). The only issue I see is that the screen on the pour spout is attached to the measuring stick. I see no real life use for that screen except to avoid spatter when a full kettle comes to a rolling boil (solution - never fill the kettle all the way up, stop at a liter at the very most). The kettle is amazingly fast, it is not a problem to boil larger quantities of water in batches. ... btw, someone please explain how a screen on the spout "filters" scale - if my kettle ever got a chunky buildup of scale heavy enough that chunks were coming out with the water - that kettle would be immediately recycled! Although I cannot speak to the longevity of this kettle yet, in it's new state it is working beautifully and I am very pleased. I would recommend carefully drying it out after use to avoid potential "scale" buildup. The lid opens wide enough to get one's hand all the way to the bottom, while wiping down the sides is a tiny bit of a faff if you have large hands, it is easily doable.
Liked the look; quick boiling time. ease of use; liked the mesh filter screen, What I don't like is the plastic max level tag inside the pot. This keeps me from giving 5 stars.
box had been opened and item unpackaged and placed back in the box and retaped, not sure if used, not sure if it works. for the price I paid it should have been new. I wont be ordering from Walmart again
The product arrived in unacceptable condition. The box was already opened and poorly closed, as if it had just been folded shut. The instructions are missing, the warranty is missing, and several parts are missing as well. I don’t know for sure whether the product has been used, but it certainly looks like it might have been. I’ve never received a new product like this before. I don’t know if this happened during shipping or at the store, but this should not happen with a new product.
