a bit pricey but worth it

ted May 4, 2026

Aa bit of overkill for what will essentially be used s a battery maintainer, but works well, especially like the de-sulfidations phase which keeps battery alive . Thanks to that 'cleaning' phase my current optima battery is 15 years old and still going strong

Small, Reliable, Effortless Charging!

Matt February 2, 2026

My old charger wouldn't work if the battery was dead or nearly dead. Seems counterintuitive considering its job is to charge batteries, but this one can using force mode. It's also foolproof to use. Basically, all you have to do is plug it in and attach it to the battery. It's detects battery type, won't overcharge and has a restore function that helps prolong battery life. Also, it won't start if you happen to cross the leads. Foolproof.

Excellent Quality and Performance !

Bradley October 5, 2025

The product was received very quickly. I ordered on Friday and was able to use the item on Sunday. Excellent quality. Performed better than expected. The 5 amp rating was the besy choice for the price and intended use. Also, the fact that it works on various types of batteries is a real plus.

Great trickle charger.

anonymous August 10, 2025

I now have 4 of these. I have a 1 amp, 2 two amps and now this 5 amp charger. They all work perfectly at keeping my batteries topped off. I bought the 5 amp so it would a little faster at tipping off a couple of Optima Yellow top car batteries and it faster than the two amps for sure. These chargers are basically trickle chargers to keep your batteries topped off and they work great for that. If you want something fast you better get a higher amperage charger.,Like a 10 amp or more. If you want something to jump start your car without electricity to plug into you need to buy a NOCO jump starter not a charger, thought I'd mention that because one review mentioned they thought it would work without electricity for jumping a dead battery.

Reliable

Tracy May 5, 2026

This charger worked wonders on a battery I wasn't sure would take a charge. It was very easy to use. Note* Someone hooked it up for me while I was away, you must use the chargers cables and clamps.

Small, effective, but no instructions in the box

HelenA July 16, 2026

Pros: It has a "repair" setting that can restore a neglected car battery to life for a while. It has a quick-disconnect which makes it possible to leave the connection clips attached to the battery full-time on some vehicles, and it has specific settings for charging 12V lithium and AGM car batteries as well as conventional ones. I've used the AGM setting to charge the battery of a mobility scooter as well, although the scooter manufacturers usually say not to use any charger except theirs (for good reason.) It automatically switches to Maintenance mode when the battery reaches a full charge, applying additional charging as needed. Cons: It's not going to bring a dead battery back up far enough to get you going in less than an hour, and possibly longer. That's what booster packs are for. It does not come with instructions. There is a downloadable manual of 40 pages, but the most useful parts are only two pages for each language. If you're not familiar with how to properly charge a car battery, grab that manual and read it before you hook up the charger.

Good Multi Type Battery Charger

Mimi April 7, 2026

I tried a NOCO 1A 1st and it showed up as a bad battery after an hour (I read afterwards that I needed the 5A). I ordered the NOCO 5A and tried it. I attempted to charge an ACDelco 48HPG 80AH AGM battery, but it was bad. It charged for 4 days with the NOCO 5A but never came up as a bad battery that would not hold a charge. I then had a regular NAPA flooded battery in a 2002 Ford F150 that was dead from not being used. It charged overnight and has been working since. I like the fact that you can select what type of battery you want to charge. It is very easy to use. I would really love to have the cigarette lighter type accessary to use on a corvette as a trickle charger.

Adequate car battery charger

Wordsmith001 July 2, 2026

Worked as advertised but the car battery was too far gone - not the fault of the charger it couldn't charge. This model has a "fix" feature supposed to deal with dead cells but the car battery itself was too far gone so no charge. Unlike many new models of chargers this one has that unique feature to charge a dead battery (usually) but it's not a miracle machine and can't raise the dead.

Just what I needed

Andrew February 15, 2026

At first when I got this from picking up at the store I was very disappointed %26 felt I would have to return this cause I can see this clearly was used and didn't know walmart does that selling as brand new. They could have taken so bucks off the price, the box had no seal on it, the cords were a mess, the box was ripped, and there was some weird clear mess on the box looks like I hope was vaseline. I had my car sitting weeks from the freezing cold causing the battery to fail. I thought I try this over the cheaper model. It only took a few minutes or so for it to be at the 75% icon. I had it on all day almost 8 hours it didn't reach full charge according the directions it almost and probably take 12 total hours. I started the car and it started right away no hesitation. This thing is very handy for this brutal winter %26 if you have a second car that doesn't get driven often. The cords are perfect length and I see if you need it overnight you are able to close the hood. The downsides are it doesn't seem right for the value you pay for $70 bucks no protective case as well as there are no instructions only a safety manual. I pay much less for a portable jump started %26 tire inflator which came with instructions as well as a protective case. They make you go online. This is the link: https://no.co/media/wysiwyg/downloads/User_Guides/Genius/genius5na_user_guide_4.18.2024a.pdf One other plus I forgot to mention is they include a 3 year warranty which is a nice plus. I'm hoping to get more than that!
