Nordic Ware Naturals® 9 Inch Pie Pan

Sometimes you need a metal pan. I have a few glass pie plates but crusts bake crisper in metal. Metal pans - not cheap aluminum disposable pans - are surprisingly hard to find in stores. This pan is heavy duty, sturdy, stainless steel, made to last a lifetime. Nordic ware is one of the best manufacturers out there and this pan was fairly priced and arrived quickly. Recommend.

I wanted something solid and reliable to use in my microwave conventional oven. This will work perfectly.

Worked perfectly for an ice-box pie. I'm sure it will be fine for all others.

Is pie 10 has a nice weight to it not flimsy like a lot of the others

It's quite possibly my favorite thing in the kitchen right now. Really delivers happiness and delicious pies.

When I get around to it, I hope to start making pies. I am not sure of the durability of it quite yet, but I am sure it will last a while due to me not baking often. I wish the size was a little bigger, but it is a normal size pie pan. I will make due.

My only hesitation is that it's made of uncoated aluminum, and there are lingering concerns about potential aluminum exposure and heavy metals. I don't use it every day, so I'm not too concerned personally, but I'd feel more confident if it had a safer lining. Overall, solid performance, but I'm a little cautious about the material.
