NOW Supplements, Psyllium Husk Powder, Non-GMO Project Verified, Soluble Fiber, 12-Ounce

I started taking this in December 2025 to help with high cholesterol levels. I take it every morning. By March, my overall cholesterol dropped from 207 to 178. My LDL dropped as well. I also walk daily as the weather permits.

I look for products from NOW, as they are consistantly high in quality. Currently this item is less expensive here than from most competitors. The psyllium powder is fine texture, blends well, and is unflavored. I prefer it to commercial preparations like metamucil, which has added sugars. Recommend

I meant to order whole husks, not powder. The coarser stuff WAY easier to swallow. The powder thickens on contact with water and you can choke. Get husks. Or get something. Both forms are highly effective. Psyllium is a wonderful supplement.

Bought to use in baking. Wanting to add more fibre in my diet %26 to make healthier treats, adding fibre to my recipes seemed like a good idea. Deserts have come out a little more moist %26 it makes them more filling.

This is a great way to get some added fiber. It mixes in easily.

The serving size does it match the container size it says serving size of 38 and that doesn't even come close to what is actually in the container

Awful. It starts thickening before you can get one good gulp down. Tried it in yogurt and within a minute it turned it into play-doh consistency.

Yuck! This product did not dissolve despite continued vigorous stirring. It left a lump and residue throughout my coffee as well as a strange taste. I'm tossing it--money down the drain.

I tried adding 1 tablespoon to a yogurt, fruit and almond milk smoothie, but within minutes it was like grainy thick pudding. As someone with sensory issues, the foam like consistency was nauseating. And if the texture isn't bad enough, there is a warning label on the lid about lead exposure and cancer from consumption.
