Good Chinese vinegar, gives an Asian flavor to your dish. Probably not a vinegar one would use in a dish that isn't Asian.

This stuff is great, imparts a much deeper flavor to dishes where white rice vin doesn't work. But, I don't know what I was thinking buying this here. I guess it was the fact that I'd run out of the last bottle of black rice vinegar I had and couldn't find it anywhere online. Gave up for some months then saw it here and snagged it immediately. That was two weeks ago. Of course, they have the same thing and several other brands at all the Asian grocery around me and I just got another bottle there of the same exact thing for $5. From WalMart shipped, was $15! I got $2 off on it so $13 but that's ridiculous and won't happen again.
