Will continue to buy as long as price stays low.

Seems to work as good as any other or better. The first time i got this product it was on sale about half price and yes it had a smelly smell I assume it had got hot for a period of time but it was tolerable after mixing in with flavored protein powder. The last few times it has been fine with only a very slight "off" smell. I have had a hard time finding any flavored BCAA products I like, I have mixed this one with others to tone them down.

No Sponsorship Needed

NEDORDER September 9, 2024

The best cost efficient brand for anyone embarking on their fitness journey. This is just a small part of my stack, but plays a huge role in my development. I spend $244 a month on Nutricost supplements, saving me close to $600 from name brands. By using Nutricost I can achieve my body building and fitness goals without a sponsorship.

Good powder, no sugar

Anonymous December 2, 2023

I like this supplement. Without sugar or any flavor, I normally mix it with a Gold Standard Whey protein. Otherwise, it takes time to adjust to a flavor.

Great price and macros, personalize w/ your own flavoring

Ana January 24, 2017

It is the most cost effective BCAA that I have found while also providing the recommended 6g of BCAA per scoop at the 2:1:1 ratio. I have been using this product for about a year and have tried the flavored and unflavored versions. The flavored one is good if you don't tolerate "bad" tastes well. I personally have a low tolerance for sweet drinks so the flavored version was too sweet for me but I think most people would enjoy this one. I was skeptical to switc to the unflavored after reading all the horrible reviews about the bitterness but figured I would give it a try. First I tried it with just water and yes, it does not taste pleasant and tastes chemically. What I decided to do is mix it along with creatine powder and a sprinkle of crystal light as my post-workout drink; this way you can control the sweetness and you can change up the flavor as you like w/o being stuck with the same flavor for a whole tub (I personally get tired of having the same exact flavor 4-5x a week).

Unflavored is supposed to taste bad. Nutricost is shifty & dishonest.

RC August 3, 2020

1. Unflavored is supposed to taste bad. If you buy it and complain about it you are just clueless. You have a choice. Buy flavored with crap sucralose or aspartame. Pay significantly more to get it flavored with stevia or monkfruit. Or buy unflavored and sweeten and flavor to your liking with your sweetener and flavoring of choice. True Lemon and other flavors they have are dirt cheap in bulk. Monk fruit and stevia are cheap in bulk. Sugar is real cheap period. A little sugar and stevia does wonders. Monkfruit works well too. You get more product for your money by buying unflavored and sweetening on your own. And this stuff works as well as any other bcaa powder I've tried. My big beef is their product changes. Used to be 90 servings and is now 83 servings yet they still charge the same. Tired of dishonest and shifty companies and nutricost is no different. They weren't even smart enough to change the pictures. So I'm done with them. I'd rather spend a little more on companies I trust. And nutricost has done this shifty behavior on multiple products. Just search across their powders and you'll see reviews where they have decreased product amounts yet charge the same. So screw them. I don't get how companies do this on the down low and not expect their customers to notice. They must think you're all stupid and don't have options to buy other products.

Terrible taste and didn’t dissolve well, clinging to glass sides. Total NO for me.

Do yourself a favor, get a flavored one.

Katelen January 19, 2020

The worst taste. You have to mix it with something and Even then it's really hard to get down. That said, I feel a noticeable difference in soreness after a hard workout if I take this. There's a definite decrease, and while it may be a placebo effect I will continue to take it. Next time I'll get a flavored one.

Cannot consume

Josh June 10, 2021

I thought I was gonna save some money by buying this because it was flavorless, oh no, it has a flavor. Tastes like you chopped up every pill in the pharmacy and decided to but fudge your tongue. I mixed 1/4 scoop if that (recommended 1 full a day) and mixed it with 2 scoops of chocolate peanut butter protein powder and put minimal amount of water in so I had to drink less of it. Good God was that unbearable. I lost more money than I saved when I immediately through it in the trash right after I gagged the last bit down after adding more protein powder to dilute Wednesdays nursing homes charcuterie.
