What those things were i have no idea, but he was like a kid in a candy store telling me he did this and that. So i guess i can say it's a win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Hercules Pro Dope Thread Sealant for a project at my house which involved replacing my old water softener - I had to make a number of connections with new piping. It lives up to its name - no dripping when applying and absolutely no leaks after installation. I used to use pipe tape because I thought joint compound was messy and difficult to use, but after trying Hercules Pro Dope, I will never go back to pipe tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pro Dope thread sealant from the Oatey-Hercules corporation is just fantastic stuff. I am in the rent house business and some of the houses are old so they have galvanized pipe plumbing. When repairing old galvanized plumbing this is the perfect solution to stopping leaks at threaded joints. I have also used it on black iron gas pipes and it worked well for me. It is also good for stainless, aluminum, and cpvc.

I have to say, after several days, i still have had no issues. It holds and doesnt leak at all. Its super easy to use. I am definitely no pro, and was able to use this with ease. Overall a great product, and way cheaper then calling someone to come do the job. I am very happy with this and would definitely recommend it.

I was a heavy user of teflon tape but ever since discovering this thread sealant, I won't be going back. It's easy to apply and creates a strong seal. I definitely trust this product way more than teflon tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's funny that I had never bought a product like this before but had done a decent bit of home fixes and pipe work. So I picked this up and now would not seal anything up without it. What a difference this Dope stuff makes! Goes on smooth and not too sticky everywhere. After I was done piping the seal was immaculate and air (and liquid) tight. Really happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thread sealant was easy to use. Their is a piece attached to the lid that you can use to put the sealant on the pipe. It didn't drip or anything. Very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pro Dope thread sealant is great in my opinion but not perfect. The applicator is the thing i had the most issues with because it works but I still had to put on some gloves and used a separate brush and fingers to apply the sealant to threads. The contents itself appears to be a superior sealant. I have not noticed leaks of any kind on any of the pipe threads I have used this product on. remember this product assists with rusting prevention.
