I could have gotten it cheaper on Amazon, but it is covered by my medical expense (OTC) card at Walmart, and the price is reasonable. As far as the product itself, it's a reliable item from a reliable manufacturer of quality goods.

This has the better of the two battery options Oral-B offers which gets you 14 days of use in a single charge. It's not the quietest, but I love that it has heads that can be replaced for less money than the newer, quieter models. There are 6 different brush modes; the Smart 5000 I'm replacing only had 5. Nifty base for multiple heads, Bluetooth compatibility and a great BF sale price and I think this is the best value in the Oral B electric brush lineup.

TLDR: easy to use, may need app to actually see what brushing setting the brush is on (ex: senstive vs whitening) its easy to set up and use. there's an app you can connect with use if the bluetooth, but not required. you can change the brush setting on the brush itself but i have no idea what setting was what without using the app that will actually show you. (i have senstive teeth and use the senstive option) on the app, you can also change the color of the light of your toothbrush, have a visual timer for each section (which is helpful for a person like me).

This is my second Oral-B electric toothbrush purchase. I needed to replace my 6000 model purchased ten years ago due to the battery no longer charging. After reading the reviews on the multitude of Oral-B toothbrushes now available, I wanted to avoid the most glaring problem that I never experienced with the 6000, and that was the mold/mildew issue associated with the internal connection between the brush head and the power unit. After much research, I found that the 5000 had the old internal design and brush head that did not cause the mold/mildew issue. The Oral-B does a fabulous job of thoroughly cleaning all of the teeth in your mouth as verified by continuously good dental appointment outcomes. The staff at the dental office where I purchased my first Oral-B recommended that to ensure the longest possible battery life, do not keep the device on a continuous charge. Let the device run down the battery charge to the battery warning and then recharge. This advice worked, as my 6000 lasted ten years and I hope for the same with my new 5000.

The OralB 5000 is an exceptional electric toothbrush. I have been using OralB electric toothbrushes for over 30 years. OralB offers their IO series, however, I feel it is all marketing. The OralB 5000 has five different settings, very easy to use out of the box. You can also sync it to the app to view brushing habits like the IO. I purchased on Walmart while on sale and saved significantly from what was being offered on the Oral B website and Amazon. In my view, it was an excellent purchase.

Hands down the Oral B Pro 5000 Smart Series is the best I've ever purchased!! I've been using the Oral B rechargeables for years, but I hit the jackpot with this one. Not only is it better than ones Ive had in the past, it was cheaper….super deal with the sale price. Plug it in, charges quite quickly and comes with a cross-action brush head, LOVE!!! never used one of those but I will be buying more. Has 4 separate brush settings already set %26 ready to go. I prefer 1st %26 2nd ones, daily brushing and the expert level. Time is set %26 it pulses when it's time to move to another section My teeth have literally never felt cleaner. Not even after I leave the dentist. That's how great this performs. The fully charged battery will last up to 2 weeks worth of brushing without it needing to be plugged into an outlet. The bristles on the cross action head are soft enough not to irritate your gums, but get the job done. The red sensor light will illuminate of you are applying too much pressure with the head, so you can adjust your technique This is definitely the Cadillac of toothbrushes, simply add toothpaste %26 it does the rest. It will also whiten your teeth over time if that is a factor in your purchase, you will see definitely results. Highly recommend

This electric toothbrush works very well but only came with ONE brushhead. The xtra brushheads are $15.99 for ONE or $28.99 for a package of three. ...all three the same. If I want to have one of each style of brushhead (there are four styles for different cleaning purposes) I guess I need to spend another $100. The wifi portion does not work--app doesnt work online or download to my phone so I will never know. I would return this item and I still may, I am so mad at the fact that they couldnt include a set of brushes with the f..king toothbrush to start.....I have no intention of spending another cent on this item. I would be better off buying a $15.00 electric brush.

I bought this after thorough research when my previous oral B finally died. It looks alot like my last one, but with the ability to connect to an app and switch between modes. These features mattered to me absolutely zilch, so I've never used either. I'm not sure I would even know how, though it did come with a whole list of instructions. I really just wanted a simple toothbrush that counts 30 sec intervals and alerts after 2 minutes. This does that, and that's why I kept it. I can't really account for the battery, because it sits plugged in all the time. But it claims it will last for several days without a charge. We shall see when I go on vacation. However, I CANNOT STAND that there are certain places on the side when I brush that the bristles fling spit and toothpaste everywhere--and I mean everywhere. So hard I can feel it flinging around in my mouth, the counter, faucet, etc. I have experimented with the angle thinking maybe I'm doing something wrong (how hard can it be lol), but I cannot ascertain how to hold the brush and keep the contents in my mouth. It's gross, and I hate it. I pondered returning it for weeks, but eventually decided it wasn't worth the work. That being said, I wouldn't buy it again.

I've had an Oral B and Philips Sonicare before. The Sonicare's battery life is unmatched in comparison. This things lasts a week. It also doesn't automatically shut off like the other Oral B or Sonicare. It does vibrate every 30 sec. I thought the Bluetooth and app would work automatically and keep track/help improve brushing but it doesn't. You have to have the app open and it only tells you how long you brushed and if too hard. I got it on sale so not too bad there but nothing impressive to recommend. Oral B toothbrushes are too noisy.

1. Way overpriced for what you get 2. You only get 1 toothbrush head 3. I don't have sensitive gums, but the bristles are too hard. 4. It doesn't tell you what speed you're on. You have to guess. 5. The design of the product is ugly/bulky, but wouldn't be big deal if it wasn't so expensive. It's not adequately priced. 6. I gave it 1 star, because i love that the brush head turns. But thank goodness it's not the only way to clean teeth. There's another brand i bought that gets the job done with a soft brush head leaving me with smooth, clean teeth, and longer battery life. The other brand was almost half the price of this one, came with 8 brush heads, longer battery life, settings of clean, soft, whiten, deep clean, massage. The clean setting is good enough for me.
