We just received this a few days ago and I used it for the first time yesterday. I bought Sara Lee Artisano Bakery Bread because it is thicker and works better. The little booklet that came with the grill recommends using a thicker bread. Well, I put mayo on the inside of both slices, added two slices of white American cheese with three slices of lunch meat ham between the cheese. I preheated this grill and once the green light came on, I put the sandwich in it, closed the lid, and within two minutes I had a delicious perfectly toasted/melted ham and cheese sandwich!!! This little grill would probably do great with using the Artisano bread for French Toast...which will most likely be my next attempt...lol! Although this little panini grill doesn't have an on/off button or any temperature control, the 1,000 Watts does the trick in no time. We are very pleased with it, and it's easy to clean and small enough to store in a cabinet, Great value for the money too.
I have been told to loose some weight so am going back to when eating was fun and super cheap at the same time, so am calling it quite a with fat; I wonder how long it's going to take to loose 5 lbs.
Made grilled cheese Friday. It was delicious!
It's light weight yet does a great job for panini sandwiches in minutes. Easy to clean too.

This Review is based on the price Group and my usage need. I wanted something to eliminate getting the skillet out to do grilled sandwiches. This is not a once a week need so I wanted something in the economic price range. I like the look of the Grill and it"s price. Now that I have it. I like the style and weight. It is easy to clean and store. It heats up before I have the sandwiches put together. I like the way the top grill tilts to do a thick or small sandwich. You are not too old to play with your food so I watch the progress and rotate the sandwich for angled grill marks. It has put fun back in grilling a sandwich. Oh, It does a great job in making a great Panini sandwich.
My family loves this product it's so easy even my 8 year old loves using it!
This does exactly what I wanted it to do and the food taste great, didn't give it 5 stars because I just got and I want to see if it will hold up.
My son loves it, he uses it practically every night!
