Ozark Trail Rechargeable Bug Zapper with LED Lantern, Orange

I read the reviews and felt like this was worth a try. We just came back from a camping trip and used this every night. First off… the zapper light is not very bright. I read some comments where people complained it didn't zap a single mosquito. Because the zapper isn't that bright I would recommend not turning on the light and only having the zapper on. We had a canopy with mosquito netting that we hung out in during the day when we weren't out on the lake. I had citronella candles and coils burning while we weren't in the canopy and that worked great. The first day we accidentally left the tent unzipped and I went to put something inside… only to be met by hundreds of mosquitoes. I hung the zapper inside with the zapper on but the light off. Later that night I went in to check and the zapper had killed most of them. I don't feel like the zapper kills mosquitoes during the day very well because it's not bright enough.. but at night it seems to work great. Also, the battery drains faster if you use the light as opposed to just the zapper. Using just the zapper it kept its charge all 4 days.

I purchased some of these well over 5 years ago, and use them everyday in the summer. we put them in the bedroom and they keep mosquitoes pretty much away. very good quality and I shopped around a bunch and Walmart had them at the absolute best price. highly recommend for insect control and in my case in an off-grid situation. the bug light portion will easily last 24 hours. never used the light part for a very long but it's quite bright and works well.

Very easy to use. One charge lasts hours. I left it on in the tent while we slept and it was still on when I woke up the next morning. You can either hook it to something or it can set up on a flat surface. So easy to clean! I tried the black flag bug zapper and there is no comparison. The Ozark Trail wins by a long shot! It's also cheaper!

I had my doubts about it for 17 bucks, but it had good reviews. I get 30 hrs or so out of a charge. the light has H/M/L very adequate. it is cleaned by just running a faucet over it %26 it has got my fruitfly infestation nipped. I highly recommend this little bug zapper.

After a full charge, it has run so far approximately 11 hours and hasn't needed recharged yet. It works well attracting and zapping those pesky bugs, and you can't hear it. The lantern part of it has three light settings and is bright. You can set it on a surface or hang it. I would recommend this.

I really like this bulb for help controlling mosquitoes, so I kept it plugged in 24/7 when I first started using it. The only downside I noticed, is that it kills all the other little flying bugs that don't cause issues outside or in. It looks like a light bulb but works just as good as my neighbor's big bulky machine for the price and size. So now I only turn it on when I'm outside, and not at all in the winter to help save the other little ones I want to keep safe. Wish they sold ones that only kills mosquitoes, but hopefully that will be in the future with AI. Thanks! God Bless.

Does a mediocre job as a bug zapper. Not very bright LEDs and the openings are rather small. The positives are the light, which is bright (and does turn off) and a full charge will last a full night with the light off. Note that this newer model is sealed does not have replaceable batteries.

if you are looking for a duel power bug zapper lantern this is not it. you can't put AA batteries in it. the description is wrong and falsely advertises this as rechargeable and battery powered. if you take a screenshot of the product page then ask Google lens if it's duel power it will tell you it's not. I spent an hr trying to figure out why I couldn't find the battery compartment turns out there isn't one. im disappointed but I'm not going to bother returning it

It's alright for a portable light like flashlight if u go camping or power is out. But the bug zapper on it don't get very many bugs. And I dint know if it comes apart or not I haven't looked at pamphlet came with it but I can't find any way to get it apart to ckean bugs off of zapper part of light but it's ok.

very few bugs got caught and no mosquitoes at all . charges good and has a good bright light , just didn't work well for me. I may return it, not sure if I want to go through all the trouble of a return.
