Palmetto Vermiculite - 4 Cubic Foot

First time using vermiculite and this was a decent choice. If you do your research and are making your own soil, then vermiculite and perlite are a must for moisture retention and aeration. It's nice and just the right amount of coarseness. If you get this off season, the price may be a bit lower, but for 4 cubic feet, it was perfect.

Bought to make my own raised bed soil. I used one part of this, coco coir, and compost. It aerates and holds moisture well, which reduces the amount of time I have to spend watering this summer. Plants grow well in this medium.unlike perlite, this does not float to the top and migrate around the raised beds when watering.

This can be used to start cuttings/clones of tomatoes and other plants. It can be added to your own soil mixes to improve drainage, aeration and it holds onto fertilizers to slowly distribute. Quality is excellent and shipping was fast.

I'm using this in my veggie container garden. i grow primarily in five gallon buckets. I live the size and texture of this product. It is larger pieces not the size of glitter like some of the other stuff. Definitely buying again.
