I have long fine hair down to my butt and I have been in search for a product that has everything my hair needs in one bottle however I have not been that lucky! This is my first step in a two step routine that I have found works wonders and delivers out of this world slip and softness and bounce that brings my hair back to life! I don't mind spending a tad bit more time on my hair with the one extra step if I get the results I want. With this, I apply as instructed leave on for 3-5 minutes and I also run through with my fingers to detangle before rinsing out with cool water.

I love this lightweight conditioner. Leave it on for a few minutes, and it detangles and moisturizes hair.

Little bit goes a long ways! Great for all hair types! I personally met Paul Mitchell, which he had told me his real name is Cyril Thomson Mitchell. Due to extreme frustrations and complaints from hair-stylists and hair-dressers about my hair, a group of them made arrangements to go to this address and to a hair salon there. He made it clear the very reasons why my hair was so difficult to wash, even conditioning in spite of its extreme oiliness, and the imperative need that I had to have the detangler. It was like a One-On-One experience, he showed not just me, but everyone there, which one to use - Awapuhi. It was there when everyone learned that this is what the Pacific Islanders uses, there hair type was very similar to mine. First thing was he had to strip my hair of all the oils and gunk which was caused by various stuff I had been using. Then he showed everyone (including me) how much was needed for my shampoo and washed it, he then said I only needed to wash it only once a week and if I got all dirty, hot, or was in the pool, to wash my hair. Then he showed everyone how much conditioner was needed, barely a dime-size amount. He made strong emphasis that I should only condition it once a month, however, I should use the detangler every day. And he showed everyone how to use it, just barely a dime size. He even told everyone to everyone's surprise, DO NOT RINSE! Then he instructed me to throw away the bottles I had at home, because they were garbage and enemies of the hair. He handed me the detangler, and told me to use it every day, and to return in two weeks in which the appointment was scheduled. When I returned, his son, Angus, came in on behalf of his father. That was when we all learned his dad had pancreatic cancer, it was over the speaker phone which his son relayed his findings. All the stylists and hair dressers were able to have a hands-on experience. Paul requested for my address and he was going to send me something. He shipped me a 1 gallon container of each, Awapuhi shampoo and conditioner and a 2 gallon of Awapuhi detangler, the bottles and pump (refillable) were also included. This lasted for years, as the original first statement says 'a little bit goes a long ways'. Paul Mitchell died in 1989 I believe and today it's 2024 and I have not looked back!

Paul Mitchell's The Detangler is perfect for me. Sometimes I can't get a comb through my tangled tresses until after I shampoo and condition. Using The Detangler as a conditioner works absolutely great. It took years but I have finally found my product!

I have very long, thick blonde hair, so I needed something to 1) help cut the tangles and 2) wasn’t having to use so much product. So far it has done really well. I paired it with a good leave in after my shower. Then I usually let air dry as it is the easiest to manage then.

I have long curly hair. I'm unwell and bedridden for extensive amounts of time. My hair ends up completely tangled (and there's lots of it). I only attempt to brush soaking wet hair with a conditioning mask globbed on it. I did my usual routine yesterday. Didn't work. I was pretty sure this time it would need to be cut out. As a last resort I ordered and tried this product. I'm headed off to bed tonight without a tangle nor twist in my hair. Best product ever!!!

I don't know if it was from the heat from shipping but it was thick instead of a liquid form.

This item was not packed well and exploded in the package. Conditioner everywhere! I tried to return to Walmart but they told me to contact the seller. The seller requested photos, which I sent, and then I never heard from him again. I contacted him once more to see if I could get a refund and never heard a word. In addition, the conditioner was old. It smelled rancid and nothing like it is supposed to. Do not waste your money! Absolute garbage!
