I feel like suets are hit or miss when it comes to what the birds like or don't like. This one has alot of the 'gat' for lack of better term showing which I think makes the birds leary at first. Once they started digging in they were able to get the seeds and feed. Then it was used more. For the price.. it is worth it if you buy suets as often as I do. I will just mix them up so they get variety.

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. It's amazing how the birds love it so much. Unlike the other competitors I have purchased, this one is easy to take out of its package and insert without getting my fingers. All oily and dirty. I definitely will order this over and over again.

The cakes are so nice to feed the birds, especially the small woodpeckers! They are all over the cakes and really go thru them in the winter. I cut the plastic indoors and then I can unwrap the cake and refill the holder outside. The only complaint is that they are a little greasy so take a paper towel along. The price is great as these have about doubled in cost over the last two or three years, plus I can get them delivered!

I have a wide variety of birds that eat at my feeders year round, and although I offer a wide selection of seed, THEY have chosen the Pennington peanut suet as their favorite! I have found the 8-pack to be the lowest price and I trust the quality of Pennington products when feeding my outdoor pets ♥️

We do too. This no melt suet is great for hot climates and not messy. The cakes are solid and don't have the fat cap the high energy ones sometimes do. They make 2 different flavors in 8 packs of not melt, we get both and a fatty one as a kicker in case the birds really want the fat and corn... Mostly they love this more, and it doesn't cost more, perfect.

Anyone notice how the cakes don't actually fill the plastic holders anymore? 11oz? The box they come in can actually hold one more cake. I guess it's not just this product but many now same price or more for less. Gotta read the fine print these days. Woodpeckers still love the stuff of course. Imagine it's still the same formula.

Thesuett for our songbirds is NOT the brand Walmart usually sends. Pennington brand of bird seed is, but not the suet. WALMART's SHPPER MADE A MISTAKE!!!!!! We are wild bird REHAPPERS. As such, we use a lot of suet -- especially in the cold months. This brand is dry, crumbly, and NOT the quality of the suet usually shopped AND given to the injured birds. NO, WE WILL NOT TAKE TIME TO RETURN THIS -- NO, THIS IS NOT COST-EFFECTIVE. THE BIRDS WILL NOT EAT THIS MESS. ~~AS WE ARE JUST NOW REALIZING THE ERROR/MISTAKE WE ONLY, ONLY WANT WALMART TO BE AWARE OF THIS AWFUL PRODUCT.

This is horrible-I returned both and lost money on one-that will go deep in woods to see if by miracle deer will eat it- it is Not the same as C%26S peanut delight -Pennington brand lost ALL my animals and birds -my ravens that eat everything will not touch it so lost them also . Went to a different place on line and am praying I can woo them back. If c%26s pulls a product change also on quality than that's it for me the price will be to high.

The birds in my yard will pretty much eat anything or maybe different birds come. But when I put this out. It sat there untouched for a few days. It wasn't until the day that I didn't get to fill the tube feeder, they went to the suet feeder. Normally, I make my own or I've bought a different flavor from the same brand. Which are always a big hit and I get 5-6 birds trying to get in it at once. But all 5 or 6 packages were the same result. I don't remember the squares being so dry. Mine were very dry. After seeing no birds eating it. I took one and smashed it up and added natural no salt peanut butter with some oatmeal and black sunflower seeds. Then I froze it to make it stick together in a square. But yeah, the birds really didn't like this, at all

I was disappointed in this variety of Pennington Suet. Looked like a slab of peanut butter. Not sure what was used to bind the contents in the container. Didn't appear hearty. I understand the current economy and the cost of ingredients. This product was subpar.
