Pennington One Step Complete Tall Fescue Patch and Repair Grass Seed Mix, Sun to Partial Shade, 5 lb

The grass seed did a good job patching/filling in my open spaces of grass in my yard. This is my first time using this brand of grass seed, but I have been rather happy with its outcome.

I had a bald spot in the yard. I bought the seeds, hoping that this would work! It was wonderful fix the problem. Trust me I am not a gardener. I love the product.

quality seems to be slightly less than Scott's but price is better than Scott's

I spread the seed fairly lightly in a couple wide pots, sprinkled a very small amount of soil on top of the seeds and put protection from birds on top. (An upside-down plant tray.) I am probably doing something wrong - only a couple (2) seeds have germinated with two tiny leaves. I'm watering early so the sun doesn't burn the new leaves. The next morning the soil is almost dry and I water again. The next day the tiny seedling has disappeared, but another came up in the dame area. That's it, just two seeds from the 1/2 cup I spread.

It's doesn't work contains more fertilizer than seeds

I planted these last year and they sprouted well but this year I planted these seeds April 5 itis now April 24 and none of them have sprouted. I water twice a day. Still nothing Very disappointed.!!

Do not waste your money. I have now given this bag its full courtesy by finishing it in various places of my yard. I've tilled prior, I've not tilled. I've raked it in, I've not raked it in. The past bags I have purchased, they come out as blue pellets I'm guessing so you could see them. Today I finished the bag and the very bottom of the bag had blue pellets come out. Does that mean that's where all the seeds were? I don't know, for the past few months, all that's been coming out is what looks like compacted pine pellets. Were there seeds inside those pellets? I don't know. But I do know is that it didn't work anywhere at any place in my yard. Booooo. $10 bucks wasted. But now what do I buy and possibly waste my money on? Hmmmmm.
