Pennington Red Glass Hummingbird Bird Feeder, 28 oz. Capacity, 2 Pack

Glass is not porous as plastic is so this hummingbird feeder is perfect for my uses. The only thing that I would recommend the manufacturer to have done was to make the ant barrier deeper because water doesn't really stay in the top. I use separate barriers, so this is not an issue for me. I've purchased three so far and have to stop myself from buying a fourth one because I don't want to keep washing and filling them up weekly or sooner.

This feeder is everything I was looking for. The body is made out of glass, the feeder is easy to clean. The top is well designed to catch water to keep the ants off. You don't need any dye to color the sugar water. Please remember to clean out regularly and use white Sugar when making the nectar. Enjoy. You might need two, one for the front %26 one for the back of the house. I found out that there were more than 1 or 2 hummingbirds and they can be territorial.

This is the best hot feeding hummingbirds. They love it. It holds enough and is super easy to clean. It is tough glass. The feeding bottom part cleans up quickly with a nail brush and water. I use an ant trap that easily attaches to this feeder and I don't have trouble with ants any more. It's been hit so I advise not to put out too much food at once.

The first one I purchased works good so i got another one. That one does not work...the well goes dry and birds have nothing to eat. I returned the second one and got a third...this one also does not work. So I took the base off both and see that they are made different... causing the dry well issue. I am guessing the non-functioning feeder is an older design and the good working feeder is a new design that fixes the dry well issue. (New design photo included) I will be contacting Pennington tomorrow.

its nice that is glass n holds a good amount of nectar but the bottom plastic and flower holes are too small. ive seen hummingbirds trying to get to the nectar but holes are too small and hummingbirds not able to land n sip. no, do not recommend..wish i could changevthe bottom part!

DO NOT SHOP WITH THIEVES !I placed a Walmart order on Walmart.com. in the amount of 307.07 to my address in Arkansas for the following morning. When I got up that morning it said my order was delivered but it was not at my door. Upon checking, Walmart system must have glitched which it hadn't done this in over a year and it reverted the address back to the last address I had used, which my mom had used to send my aunt a birthday present in Pennsylvania! This doesn't make sense to me because Walmart knows this is an ongoing problem and they have a fail-Safe in place. Where if you try to place an order that isn't near where your location is, a warning comes up asking you if you are sure that that is the address you want it to go to because it seems like you're a little far away, that did not happen. Sure that my address was selected before placing this order because this did happen to me a year ago. Granted it was only like three items but it got sent to my mom's work at the hospital. They promptly refunded me and told me they're aware of the problem back then.  Anyway, I contacted Walmart and spoke with them via chat and in fact I have one of the screenshots from that chat. Unfortunately wasn't smart enough to screenshot any of the rest of the chats because I was promised that I would never be charged for items I didn't receive and that the refund had to go in manually and I needed to wait up to 10 days. I also tried to put a stop on the $15 remaining item because it hadn't been delivered yet. They told me. No worries. You're going to be refunded. Just wait the 10 days. I then tonight received an email kind of generic stating that the order was delivered and that I could check it in the Walmart app and that no refund would be issued. I done had a conversation with Walmart course. This time they sang a different tune and disregarded anything I had been told previously and told me that there was no way for me to be refunded through them. Then I needed to dispute it with my card issuer even after learning that they are EBT funds and this is all the money that I have to feed my son and I for the entire month as a single mother! I also informed them that when I first received funds in January I had yet to use my card and the only place my card was on file was with Walmart.com and all of my funds had been stolen and used in Jersey. At that time I actually had correspondence with the Governor and there is a police report on that event. So this is now the second time that Walmart has stolen money from me. This is the second time my son is going to go without because of Walmart! There's no way for me to dispute and get my money back because it is not a debit card. It is government funds that Are designated for my son!! I don't see it is my fault that their system glitches, or the fact that I cannot dispute the charges and get this money back! When the the when the incident happened in January I never saw it back! reported to bbb %26 ftc

I'm returning this feeder because the bottom does not come apart for proper cleaning. Unfortunately, that makes it nearly impossible to thoroughly clean the feeding ports, and that's a serious issue for hummingbirds. Dirty ports can quickly grow mold and bacteria, which can make hummingbirds very sick. A hummingbird feeder should always be designed so every part can be easily taken apart and cleaned well. Sadly, this one misses the mark.

I purchased this hummingbird feeder because it was clear glass and since I don't add any coloring to my syrup, it helps me view the levels. After just a few days of being out in the winter time, it started to mold. When you take it apart to clean it the bottom flowers, where the Hummers get the nectar from does not come apart and you cannot clean inside this feeder so I definitely do not recommend it.

i bought this because it had more than 4 ports as we have had a lit of hummingbird visitors. we have 4 other feeders that are always full of them and need filled often. i watched after putting this one out. They tried, but couldn't get the nectar out. im not sure it its because of the flat top on the base or the way the ports are. ive refilled it a few times and its always the same, they cant get the nectar. please change the design so they can eat!
