Perky-Pet 16 oz Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder, 4 ports

I bought this feeder because I'd had long time success with a similar feeder that's no longer available. I like the glass bottle because it's easy to clean and more durable than plastic bottles. My experience has been, though, that a bottle with lots of ports is worthless when feeding Ruby Throated birds since they invariably fight over the feeder. I'm also pleased with the larger filling opening as well as the ant trap built into the top.

We have other feeders by this brand that we love so we decided to try this one. We really like the ant deterrent top the holds water and the glass body. We also like that the territorial red throated hummingbirds will drink from this with another at the same time more than occasionally. It was a very good value on sale. We bought one to try and then ordered two more.

This feeder seems to be the favorite among My humming birds. I had one like this for over twenty yrs and it just recently broke do to the wire that it hung with broke. I had to fill this new one twice in one day. No , it isnt leaking, I just have alot of Hummingbirds.I have 4 feeders hanging in all. The humming birds like to be able to land and the little perch allows that.

This just arrived. I filled it (I use Sweet-Seed Sweet-Nectar), put it on a hook on the deck rail, and the first hummingbird came within 15 minutes. That's impressive! I have a similar feeder, but with flower-shaped cups and without bee guards, at the other side of our deck, and wanted to add another since they are territorial. This one has outperformed the other already!

This hummingbird feeder is pretty terrific because the base comes apart for easy %26 thorough cleaning. This is necessary to prevent the bird from getting sick. The bottle is glass which also allows for easy cleaning %26 holds up much better than the plastic ones.

I am a hummingbird enthusiast who feeds over 200 of these wonderful birds each summer. This feeder is the best I've found. The little birds especially love this type of perch which is difficult to find. The ant moat works great and the way the feeding flower is designed, it keeps the other birds from feeding at the feeder (I feed those birds in the winter and they can eat bugs). This feeder is really easy to clean too. I bought six of these. Also prefer the glass feeders to plastic as I feel it reduces the chance of mold occurring. In addition, the plastic perch is better as I worry metal would burn their little feet. The only improvement I would like would be if the feeder glass were red. Great price point too. I have used the Perky-Pet Hummingbird feeders for years. This one is supposed to be new and improved. I have not used it yet but I assume it will be just as good as the others I have.

this thing is nearly impossible to open to change nectar. gadzooks! it's ridiculous! you pert near breake the glass trying to wrestle the bottom off! every darned time! i thought it would get easier with use. nope! not even. Boo 👎

Two piece plastic bottom is difficult to get seated, spilling nectar everywhere. Previous version had smaller fill hole, but a small funnel makes filling easy. Design of feeder flowers makes it impossible for birds to use perches. Same feeder, previous series, empties twice as fast as birds can perch. Twice as many birds come to feeder they can perch on. I have several Perky feeders thatc work great!
