Perky-Pet Black Carriage Wild Bird Seed Feeder - 1.5 lb Capacity

I have really kicked my bird feeding into high gear this year but I have a lot of honeysuckle trees and there branch are tiny. I have large feeders attached to the house but I wanted to hang some in the trees. I ordered this feeder because it was small and cheap. I got it and I was very surprised how sturdy it was. Even with it fully filled it hangs on the thin branches of my tree. The birds seem to like it but the sparrows are the ones that use it the most and the squirrels take care of the rest on the ground. It did fall out of the tree when I first put it up and it was fully filled. It fell about 4 feet and it did not break so I would say its very durable. Going to order more of these.

Entirely plastic this is a good feeder.

The open bottom posed a problem as the feeder is on our porch and the birds knocked the seed out and it made a mess on the porch. My husband fabricated a bottom plate to keep down the mess. Works great!

Considering we are trying to feed the birds while remaining frugal, this feeder is just fine. It has smaller openings and less of a tray than our last feeders that lasted us about 2 years and finally were too sun damaged to continue use. The steel cable on this feeder is a plus while the twist lid verses a slide down style of our old feeders is less preferred. I'm sure we'll get the hang of twisting it locked in time. It is great for smaller birds. Doves and similar birds are going to hang out on the ground below as the perch's are not accommodating to larger birds. We would buy this again based on our initial review. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Arrived cracked, had to repair, difficult top to screw back on after filling but needed a second feeder during Stay at home

The construction of the feeder and quality of the materials seem fine. But it is way too small. Birds emptied it in 12 hours. I bought a Perky Pet feeder in my local W-M store that was $13.00 and at least 3 times larger. Not a good value that I expect from W-M. Thanks, Joe Bazin Topeka, Ks

Limits types of seed you can add since there is no tray it would just pour on the ground. I added Black Oil Sunflower seeds which are popular in my other feeder but birds seldom seem to come to this feeder. I might try to attach a tray to the bottom.

Looks nice and holds seed, that's about all the positive things I can say about this feeder. It is almost impossible to fill. The cover is difficult to remove and replace. The cable does not connect to the bottom like the picture shows and the bottom comes off easy. Don't buy. Spend a couple bucks more and get something that will function better. I'm throwing this out as soon as my replacement arrives.

the worse bird feeder plastic is very sharp where the food comes out for the. birds it very bad quality I am returning it.
