I love how it sticks to the window (yes, the suction cups work and are enough to support the feeder). With the opening in the back, against the window we really get a close experience with the birds. Also, the squirrels are having a hard time trying to get at it, which is hilarious to watch too. We just bought two more.
I LOVE this bird feeder! It took about a week for them to figure it out. Now I have finches, sparrows, mourning doves, blue jays, and cardinals checking it out daily! I live in Baltimore City too so I was surprised to have this much wild life love it.
See the birds up close! Sticks extremely well to the window. Easy to clean. My cat loves to watch the birds eat. It did take the birds a bit to figure it out. Maybe because it is clear. They didn't seem to know where to land. They love it now. I bought a second one!
This is a replacement for the same model ( I have had for 1 year), which I accidentally broke. In the year that I had the original feeder, it attracted many birds on a daily basis, was easy to fill or clean and never lost its suction on the window. It was a pleasure to keep the small birds happily fed while stuck in the house during Covid. This feeder only attracts the smaller birds (because ot its size) but I did see a few bluebirds perch on the edge to get some food. Also squirrels havent been invading it because its on a window far away from trees.
My birds love it. Took them a little while to get used to it but once they did they love it and the squirrels cant get to it. We love watching them from inside.
This clear bird feeder has been fantastic! We actually live in a 3rd floor apartment and I wanted a bird feeder but couldn't figure out how to hang one. It's so easy, I just opened the window, reached out and stuck it to the window, (I took the screen off 1st). You fill it up the same way. Just reach up through through the opens window. I tied a piece of fishing line to the roof of it and ran it up through the window to tie inside as an extra precaution. It's so great watching the Finches and Cardinals fly, sit and eat.
I have a larger plexiglass bird feeder that I like better than this one because it holds more and doesn't fall down so easily. This one fell on the ground after a heavy bird landed on it and broke at the seam where the plastic is glued together. I am still able to use it, but seed falls out through that crack. Also, I lost one of the suction cups, but was able to replace it with a cheaper one bought in a package from Dollar Tree. Any suction cup will work. My feeders get hard useage because of the number of birds I feed. I get blue jays, mourning doves, downy woodpeckers, hairy woodpeckers and yellow bellied sapsuckers. They sometimes squabble, and this is hard on the feeders. However, you will find this feeder can stand up to their rough housing. The woodpeckers have trained us to call back to them and "talk." They sometimes just drop by to say hello. This small feeder is good for sparrows, finches, wild canaries, and all the winter birds because the larger birds can't get into it easily. So I use two feeders one for each sized bird. Best of luck and have fun!
It looks like a great little bird feeder, but unfortunately, ours arrived cracked down the middle, so I haven't been able to use it yet. Once I superglue it, I'm hoping it will function as it should, but the fact that it came separated already is kind of a bummer.
pretty tiny hole so only the smaller birds can get to the food. be sure to clean your window before sticking it because the suction cups don't work too well. even then, i find its fallen about every two weeks or so. nevertheless, my cats enjoy watching all our new bird friends.
This feeder has problems with suction cups coming loose from feeder. Birds are very shy about going in it should have a one way glass on window side.
