I saw this automatic coop door and decided to buy it and hoped it works as described. When we go on vacation I have someone to come every day to feed my chickens but can't ask them to come again at dusk to lock them up so I risk predators getting into the coop. We installed this door which was easy then set it to close at dark. We waited patiently as the sun went down and then witnessed the door close itself. Wow! So cool, I love it and hope it lasts!

The door comes complete and so far seems to have more features that a chicken run brand solar door that quit working after about one year

This is a must have for your chicken coop. I LOVE mine. It arrived early, was easy to install and it the perfect height even for my roosters. The timers are solar or timer or a combination. The remote is great if you need to close quickly to sort birds or close them in while you're inside the coop. It gives you piece of mind knowing your birds are safe behind the door when you can't be there to manually lock them in at sundown. I still do a head count because well... there's always that chance. So far it does what I need it to do.

Works great in the summer. In Michigan winter however, not so great. Have had many days of having to pry it open to free my birds because a bit of water got in and froze it shut.

Worked well for a couple months. Suddenly the motor locked up and now the door wont close. Outside the return/refund window now. $60 wasted in this.

Installed about a week ago - easy to install. Worked great for maybe a week and then the door opening and closing mechanism seems to have malfunctioned. Won't stop trying to open or close when using timer or manual, then the alarm goes off. Did this while installed on the coop and also when I removed and just layed it on a flat surface. It is super clean and dry, no obstruction and still won't function. So I can't imagine if it had gotten dirt or water on it.
