ordered 4 different replacent remotes for new Pioneer Roku TV because we have puppies, and this was the perfect one. just the right size and performs all functions.
My Dad loves it. He hated to original Roku remote because the internet service he has meant he had to scroll thru all the channels. Now he has a remote with numbers and can go straight to the channel he wants. It also synced up easily with the Roku tv I bought him.
I recommend this remote to anyone looking for a replacement remote for their TCL/ROKU SMART TV. it was easy to program. I'm glad I got 2 as they work wonderful, not like the one that comes with your TV, and it has buttons.
It was perfect for my tv. excellent!!! no doubt!!
Form fits hand well. Easy to understand
I now own 3 of these to eliminate the need for multiple remotes to use with Samsung TV and Roku ultra boxes. The unit already comes programmed for samsung TVs so you're good there if you have a samsung. The instructions show the incorrect code for my roku boxes, which is supposed to be 2014. So what I do is I go and program the STR button with code 2014 and that's all I need to do so I can switch back and forth between the TV and the Roku. There's just one teeny tiny hiccup with that which is in order to turn the TV off, you have to first switch back to TV then press power but considering you'd have to use a separate remote otherwise, this is still more convenient. So something could be done to map the button more precisely. If you use the code in the instructions for the roku box, the asterisk button won't work which can be a problem so use 2014 if you have a roku ultra. The reason why I say it's "almost" perfect is the buttons are small, they are largely all the same shape so it's hard to control in the dark if you aren't looking at it. So I would suggest making it larger, bigger buttons, easier to memorize where the buttons are by shape and bonus points if it lit up. I would pay extra if it did that. Also you can't tell which side is up or down in the dark. The roku remote had that little tag on it. I made one of those tags using a piece of electrical tape painted in glow in the dark paint. I also painted some of the buttons with glow in the dark paint too. Other than that, it looks and feels like a Roku remote, just slightly longer without all the sponsored streaming service buttons taking up space. Im not sure if it has a microphone input, I never used that but looks like there's a mic hole but I don't know what button would turn that on or off.
Only partially works with Roku. Purchased unit specifically for the number buttons. While the remote will power on/off and volume up/down, the numbered buttons don't work.
I could not get this to work on my Roku TV after several tries. I will see if someone I know can help me but it should not be so difficult. Kept getting remote not found message in search.
I was looking for a way to enter a channel number on a remote, which is not possible with the standard Roku remotes because they have no keyboard. This remote has a keyboard and you can enter a channel number, there is no enter button and the OK button does not select the channel, so the keyboard is useless.
Did not work very well.Don't waste your money
