This griddle is FANTASTIC!!! Right out of the box, the set up was easy! Burn in, easy! I love that I'm able to fold back in the legs for storage and it doesn't take up a bunch of room! Casters roll nice and easy and the locking mechanisms kept it in place. What an addition to my other Pit Boss products! I wish I did this 4 Burner Griddle earlier! It is a game changer when doing breakfast, lunch or dinner! I think the best part is that it is easy to clean up and love having the grease trap/catch in the front. Makes it real easy to see your level of debris and when to clean it out. Good job Pit Boss! I'm a customer for life!!!
I've seen a lot of guys using the griddles and read really good reviews of the ones from Pit Boss, but I've only grilled and/or smoked. I held off about 4 months before purchasing this griddle and couldn't be happier. I will say the cooking on the griddle takes some getting used to, but so did grilling. My wife and kids love the flavors and the dinner time clean-up seems to be cut in half - no washing of skillets or pots and pans - a real time saver.
I love my griddle use it the week it came cook so much food on it & it was amazing. Only thing you sit on the stand gets very very hot so you have to be careful what you sit on it while cooking. It would be nice to have a cover after cooking your food. But no complaints it's awesome Thank you PitBoss!!!
Tried and returned two other brands before finally purchasing a Pit Boss griddle. One of those brands was a very popular griddle. I found that one was very difficult to put together and the craftsmanship was sub par. The other brand was easy to assemble but would not get hot enough to sear a steak or even brown bread. Got the Pit Boss and it was simple to assemble, craftsmanship is exceptional and it the five burner gets really hot. Will not mess around with other brands in the future. I am a customer for life if the quality continues.
I previously wrote the 3 star review as TN80 but couldn't find a way to edit it. My griddle came fairly banged up (bent parts, warped griddle, chipped paint) and missing a small part. I spoke with customer service and they resolved everything for us. Very happy with the griddle and the customer service!
The griddle is easy to use, easy to clean, and does everything I expect. Breakfast is easy (I really like omelets) and pancakes are a snap. IN between using my PB Pellet grill I have been making dinner on it - stir fry, fajitas, and burgers. Between our PB pellet grill and the griddle, we really aren't doing much in our kitchen at this time. I am still exploring recipes and know that there is a lot more that I can do with it.
This a really good product for the price. I am not impressed with the decals on the front of the Griddle as they come off very easy when cleaning this item. The griddle itself will pop when it is hot and you throw something cold on it. The right side cover also came to me bent which made this side plate flimsy and almost unusable.
I've really enjoyed having this grill. I love that the side shelves fold up to cover the grill. My only complaint would be that the burners closer to the tank (right side) get much hotter than the other side. Normal for most grills but it is a pretty big difference. You also have to have 2 people to collapse it down for travel. Overall I really do like this grill.
Completely changed the way we cook when we host for party's. The cast iron seasons well and so easy to clean after each use. The only thing i would fix is the heat over the entire griddle. The right side closest to the propane tank gets much hotter than the left side.
I can't complain! I bought the KC Combo pellet grill almost a year ago. We have done our fair share of smoking. I noticed my temperature wasn't climbing as I went to smoke. I hit the prime button and kept a eye on the pellets. When they didn't move I assembled the propane side of the grill and removed the griddle so I could finish the steaks for dinner. Next day I started looking on you tube to point me in a direction. After feeling confident at taking apart. I got into the auger location. I was looking for swollen pellets and as I looked down at the Auger bolt I seen it was twisted. After fighting it to get to a angle to get it out. I could see how bad it was twisted. I ran to a local hardware store to replace. After looking T the selection. I couldn't find a screw with a sleeved collar. So I got a completely threaded screw that fit the nut. I got back home and secured it in to postion. I didn't want to operate until I had the correct screw. So I emailed and called put boss. The service provider almost knew what I needed after a little discussion and a poc of the original screw I removed. The customer service agent sent me the screw and followed up to make sure it was received. I didn't have a chance to discuss with the customer service as to why the screw or the Auger bolt drastically changed compared to the original. Almost as if it was the incorrect bolt that should have went there in the first place. Ever since it has returned to working normally. The only thing different is there is a slight knock as the Auger turns. I contributed the knock to the pellets in the tube. But I have watched and checked on it during operational and there isn't a miss I can find.
