Very pretty design, sturdy, elegant.

This particular fireplace screen is light weight, easy to move and set up, and store when not in use. When set up, it is very presentable and looks as if it is a part of the fireplace. The aesthetics of the design add to the overall look of our fireplace and mantel. We got this fireplace screen to keep our 2 year old and cat away when the fireplace is in use. I recommend this fireplace screen to anyone looking for a pleasant easy on the eye addition to their fireplace, as well as keep children or animals away from the flames.

I ordered this Gothic screen for my fireplace and it is really beautiful, well made and a great price. However my fireplace has a 20 inch high hearth (and a built in screen).. This tri-fold screen was too much for the hearth. I surely would have kept it if my fireplace was floor level. Its a great screen with a transitional style that would match almost any decor, classic or modern. I hated to return it!

Very nice fireplace screen. Arrived quickly and in great condition. My only reason for dropping one star, is because it isn't 100% level... have to position it just right to keep the one side from swinging open. This is a minor inconvenience, I am using a metal pig bank to push it closed... which actually looks neat beside the screen. So it's all good!

I agree to the other reviews about the looks of this screen, especially with a fire behind it -- looks really nice! Easy to handle too, though a slightly wider base would make it much more stable - especially for use with older brick paved fireplaces (mine's like that) where the base isn't always smooth and level all around. My only disappointment with this is that the screen isn't welded / joined to the frame well enough - i got mine less than 2 months ago and two weeks ago I saw that the mesh on the central portion had separated from the frame at the top, and the mesh has also bent a little out of shape in the center. I assume it was because of the heat of the fireplace, but we don't build big fires - one wooden and one duraflame log combined is what we use. So quality of the mesh and the welds seems to be low.
