PowerSmart 4800W CO Detect with Manual Start Portable Wheel for Outdoor & Home Gas Inverter Generator

This is by far the quietest generator we've ever purchased. I can start it myself just as easy as my husband. The handle makes it easy to move and maneuver whether it is full of gas or not. We use ours mainly for powering our camper and it does great.

I love this generator! It's small enough, easy enough to move around, and very functional. Works great, has good features, is fairly quiet too. The only thing is, that it says that it will get approx. 8 hrs runtime, at 1/2 load, from 3.2 gals gas (that's how much gas it holds, it only runs on gas). I did a test myself, full tank of gas, at a little less than 1/2 load (how much wattage you using from it) and I got about 7.6 hrs runtime. Other than that I love it. Actually I might buy another one! It's great for the money as far as I'm concerned! Oh, and I used it for powering things in my home during the great ice debacle in Feb. I consider It a good buy!!

PROS: Low noise (about 50 dB) , I placed it 20 ft. from the backdoor and barely hear it inside the home. -Electric start is a must - It's auto start up to 4 times. On mine, it took 2 times to start (out of the box) - After that 1 time. - It takes 1 gallon of gas to run about 6-7 hours. The tank holds 1.9 gallons. -Engine runs smoothly, I tested for 6 hours (1 gallon). Recommended.

i wouldn't say it is as quiet as a honda 2,000 but. the prices are much much more reasonable. I am happy that it has a 30amp hookup. larger 3..3 gallon fuel tank. the wheels and handle are perfect addition.

i like this generator. after set up. first pull, started up. Standing at 10 feet from the generator, it is very quiet. Instructions are easy to follow. you reallt get more bang fir your money on this inverter generator. i made a decision to buy it base on reviews. quietness, and the amount of wattage. Also had a 2 year warranty. thisvis a great buy!!!

Overall, this unit is good. It will meet any individual appliance need below what it's rated running wattage, and amperage are. If you're new to buying generators, please be warned that models like these need to be grounded for safe use. This is not outlined in the product description. Also to PowerSmart: My unit arrived smelling of gas, and it's switch was in the on/run position. Which means whomever ran or tested this unit failed to shut it down properly. The dipstick also indicated there was oil in that machine at least days before it was shipped. I assume this was standard product quality control testing, but to have it's turn switch in the fully on/run position was a dangerous oversight.

Generator arrived quickly and in good condition. It starts easily and runs great. The noise is about half of what a regular generator makes. Easily powers my RVs, easy to move, narrow enough to fit thru the RV doors and not so heavy and bulky that I can't pick it up and move it on my own. Very happy so far!

I've had this generator since April 16th. Quick delivery within 2 days. The generator ran very well and easy to start in the beginning. The pull cord has broken 2 times in the past 3 months and it's becoming very hard to start. I've injured myself trying to get it started. I have coverage for it but it's like pulling teeth to get it fixed. I loved how good it ran and how very easy it was on gas. I live in one room of my home and this generator powered everything I need using less than half its power.

Generator ran great, I have lived off grid the last 2 months and run it everyday. Problem is the pull cord keeps breaking. I've replaced it twice. Went to replace it a third time and the pull cord housing spring is now broken. So now I'm left without. I thought purchasing a $700 generator I could rely on it. I should be able to go more than 2 weeks without having to replace the rope. And getting a replacement is a joke. I just keep getting transferred from company to company. Department to department! I would go with a different brand for sure.

Bought online - Never Used -Generator arrived defective/broken - black plastic housing had 10 inch crack running along base of product - went around conflicting circles with warranty claim with PowerSmart in an attempt to get replacement- finally returned it to Walmart store. Very frustrating experience - Unable to upload image showing damage
