When you don't want to or need to get out the big machines this is perfect lil tool. It's not that big but it does the trick. I've used it for onions, tomatoes and broccoli. It works best on hard veggies and not so much for the tomatoes. It's convenient to use.
Perfect for dicing garlic. I dice several cloves, add a little olive oil, then store the whole little container in the refrigerator as it actually closes nicely to keep garlic smell from transferring. I have used it for dicing shallots too, so I need two.
I absolutely love this Prep Solutions Fresh Food Chopper! My mom had one many years ago from the pampered chef and I always wanted one! This food chopper is as good as if not better than her pampered chef version. It easily chopped potatoes and onions for a hash brown. I also chopped up walnuts. This thing is amazing! I would absolutely recommend this food chopper!
I love this food chopper! Even my 7 year old likes to help me use it. I love being able to chop my vegetables without worrying about chopping my fingers. The thing I love most about it is that it comes together as one simple machine. It is easy to clean and doesn't have a million little parts. It is easy to use, safe and easy to clean. I love it!!
Great little gadget to have in the kitchen if you cook as much as I do! This food chopper makes cooking a little bit easier and faster! I can dice up my veggies perfectly and it's so easy to clean and use! I haven't had it that long but I have already used it almost every night. A definite must have
This little chopper works pretty well. It's nice for chopping onions because my eyes don't water! It only chops about a quarter of an onion at a time though. I also like to use it on chocolate and nuts. The zigzag blade rotates as it chops, so you get a nice even chop with minimal effort. It's easy to clean too because all the pieces come apart and can go in the top rack of my dishwasher.
Me and my husband loves to cook and he’s been looking for a tool to use for mincing garlic. We have several and he said this one is his favorite coz it does the job. Easy to rinse off too. He uses it all the time. Not just with garlic but with everything
I wanted to love it and thought it would save time and make cutting onions easier specifically, but it was kind of a dud. You have to cut them so small to even get it to chop at all and it gets stuck in there and is kind of a pain. Plus extra things to clean that are much more difficult than just washing a knife. If you have to chop it down so much to prep it for this chopper, it just makes sense to finish the job with the knife. I can maybe see this being useful if you have a younger kiddo who wants to help in the Kitchen, but it too small to use a knife. You can chop things small and then let them use this to finish the job. Pros: -Simply enough to put back together after cleaning Cons: -Have to cut pieces too small -Food gets stuck above blade Overall, I think it's easier to just use a knife and have one less kitchen gadget.
I thought it would hel.\nP me prepare for things to be in Christmas meals easier. But I ended up having to cut all vegetables such as onions into relatively small pieces , or they just got stuck up inside the blades. and every single time the blade retracts up into the circle portion of it stuff gets trapped up in there that you cannot get out. it is nearly impossible to completely clean. and I gave up after the second try , even using it , because it sounded like he was going to crack even chopping onions. end the whole time chopping onions.I had to use a second knife to dig onion out of the blades of the actual contraption. thus, making it more time consuming than me.Just chopping it by hand
No, I would not recommend this product , doesn't cho good, things come out and you have to move them in order to chop. Got tired of it and decided to do it myself with a knife. Disappointed
