After having the Oculus 2 for only a day, I knew I had to get a new headband. The one included has to be cranked down so tight to keep it from sliding around. This band is hard plastic with an elastic strap over your head, and a cradle with a crank on the back to easily put on and take off the headset. Replacing the strap was super easy, and I'm almost surprised they didn't include this as the base strap. This is one accessory that all buyers need to have!
Its awesome God Bless Jesus loves yall
This strap is much more secure than the standard elastic headband that comes with the Oculus Quest 2. I am looking forward to the release of this headband with integrated battery, though the headset battery and quick recharge have been enough for me and my partner so far. We use the headset mainly in the mornings for workouts on the Supernatural app.
i've been looking for one of these for a while and came across this one. I've tested it a few times and it really does help support the headset. I would recommend this to my friends.
Had this for a while now, the stock strap was meh for me, but after I used this I cannot go back. It's much more comfortable than the stock strap and is easier to adjust to make it fit your head, this also means when you're sharing the headset with friends it's easier to have them adjust the strap to their liking as well as have you adjust it back to yours. The only issue is that the sides are a bit thin, but they managed to hold up so far with no cracks.
We purchased this for a gift and if a small head person uses this every time they play their Oculus head set it will break from continuous use .It cracked the plastic. It needs to be made stronger for sure if kids use it everyday. We still ordered an other one because it is needed to hold on the face so the fit is tight on the head. Disappointed it didn't last through the Holiday!
i assumed the recall was finished and the straps weren't breaking like they were a few weeks before. this strap lasted less than a month with only semi-regular use. the customer service from oculus is a joke. I have had the same copy-paste reply asking for my information that I already gave 3 times in a row.
Ordered but never arrived. Likely never shipped by third party reseller. Not informed that it wasn't shipped until well after expected arrival date, over a week after purchase. Fairly upsetting.
I literally baby my quest 2 and the strap still broke. I thought all the posts on reddit and twitter were just of people being too rough or having it too tight but now I know its just a complete peice of poo. I would not recommend this. Look for the "frankrift" setup (buy adapters and the vive elite audio strap) or some other 3rd party strap with better quality. By the way, I stream VR for a living, and have a vive and a rift S. While the quest 2 is decent specs for the price, I would not recommend buying the strap, which sucks because the original soft straps really hurt my head and pull my hair.
This is my second time buying this strap for 50$ and it broke in about 3 months, there so cheap they just break, the sides are made with really thin plastic, not built to last and idk how they have more than a 1 star review, everyone who purchased one the only guarantee is that its definitely 100% going to break even if your super careful with it dont waste your money
