Ricos White Queso Blanco Creamy Cheddar Cheese Sauce, 15 oz Can, Shelf-Stable

This Ricos White Queso Blanco Creamy Cheddar Cheese Sauce is a little pricey but is absolutely the best I have had. It is as good if not better than any Mexican restaurant white cheese that I have had. I use it on my burritos, taco salads and most Mexican dishes. I use 1 can of the cheese sauce and add about 1/3 can of milk to get it to the consistency that I like and put in microwave to heat for a couple of minutes.

I usually keep this cheese stocked in my kitchen along with Rotel for unexpected company, I mix it with a can of rotel for a really good nacho dip, makes plenty of dip for a handful of visitors and everyone loves it, I also use this cheese with many casseroles, its great in making Chicken Alfredo

This is my favorite queso. Due to chemo side effects, I cant handle much spiciness. This queso has ZERO SPICINESS! It also has a great creamy flavor.

Great for dip, recipes and taco night. I add jalapeño juice for extra spice.

I mix this with a pound of ground beef a can of sliced potatoes a can of carrots and peas. makes a good meal.

GREAT ON STEAMED VEGS AS WELL

I bought this hoping it would taste like the white cheese dip they have at most Mexican restaurants. This is nothing at all like that. It has a very distinct cheddar taste. I was expecting it to be better than it was given all the raving reviews about it. I do think this has great potential as an ingredient for alfredo or casserole and I would like to test it out like this sometime. As a standalone cheese dip for chips, this missed the mark for us.

Has a canned artificial taste.

The pulltab broke off when I attempted to open the can. Since I'm in a nursing home I was kinda At a loss as to what to do. I eventually was able to get the can open with a knife. My caregivers were not happy!

All 4 cans were dented so bad that I have to wonder if the food inside is still good. This is the quality of item that I would expect to see on the discounted/damaged shelf at the grocery store. I paid full price for discounted items. I am extremely unhappy that these cans came like this. There is no excuse for selling damaged products at undamaged prices. I will not be ordering from this seller again. On top of that, the item was shipped all over the country before I finally got it 2 or 3 days late. I have purchased Rico cheese before and I will say that the cheese is excellent, which is the reason that I order this in the first place but if I was shopping at the store, I would have bypassed these cans and bought cans that did not look like they got run over by a truck. Just be aware that you may receive dented/damaged products so make sure that the price you are paying reflects that.
