Roly Poly Goalie: The Game That Gets Kids Rolling with Laughter!

Tiffany January 8, 2025

I've played Roly Poly Goalie several times now with my niece and nephew, and it's officially a fan favorite whenever they visit! The game starts off as a classic game of war, where players flip over cards to see who wins the round. But here's the twist: when there's a tie, all bets are off as the game turns into chaotic and hilarious Roly Poly Challenges! Whether it's rolling, dodging, or throwing the squishy Roly Polies, everyone is up on their feet, laughing and moving. Not only fun to play but very fun to watch!!

DOES NOT GET BORING!!!!

Jonah January 21, 2025

This game is like 4-5 games in one. BUT!!!!! It doesn't have so many rules that you get confused and keep having to check the manual. There is a larger game with 4 mini games inside of it that keep players from feeling tired of the same thing every turn. Certain battles are definitely more challenging than other ones, but nothing competes with “HOLY MOLY ROLY POLY,” the final battle. My only critique of this final showdown would be that it could be a little too challenging for older individuals to participate in that one. My mom didn't exactly want to get on all fours. LOL. But for the average player and DEFINITELY for the young ones, this game is an absolutely BLAST! 10/10! I recommend it!

Great fun with our 4yo grandaughter!

Sean C. January 30, 2025

Team Grandma vs Team Grandpa + Grandaughter "Jo" - and we had a lot of fun. Our grandaughter is 4.5 yrs old, so we went slowly so that she could be the one to "do the math" and discover who won each card draw. The colors on the cards helped her spot the ties quickly -- good design choice. Even though she was able to grasp the foam balls she did have some trouble with the aim. After the fireest play through we changed it so that when it was an Attack that the adult had to sit on the floor so that she wasn't looking up at us while throwing. She liked this play change. SHe also liked it when Grandma got me in the face with the foam ball (see pictures)!Grandparents aren't the best at laying on the floor and rolling a ball around. Fun, but took a while to get upright again.(Grandughter is not in the pictures - privacy concerns, sorry)

Funnest, cutest game that everyone in the family will love

Vincent January 30, 2025

First of all, the Roly Poly are super cute, soft, squishy, expressive balls that my 4 year old daughter had fun playing with even without actually playing the actual game. The premise of the game is simple: collect the most cards/points. To acquire them you play a game of trump card but when you tie, epic battles happen in one of four different mini games using the Roly Poly balls. Of the four, Roly Poly Knock off was the only one that we didn't like as much due to having issues keeping the Roly Poly on the top of the box (it kept rolling off). Maybe can include a hole/groove or some sort of holder for the Roly Poly to make it easier to set off & a little more challenging to knock off.I love that there's also an option on how to play with special rules if adults play kids to level out the playing field. This is an amazingly fun game to play for hours of laughs and epic battles with your family and friends. Just make sure you have enough space around the house where things won't get broken =><=

Very Cute Spin on a Classic Card Game

Amanda L. January 30, 2025

It's like war but with Mario Party style mini games where the war happens. It's very much catered as a family game especially with younger kids. As a small group of adults, it was still pretty entertaining to watch your friends crawl all over the floor and show off their terrible lack of hand eye coordination. I think there's a lot of potential for this even as adults or incorporating some drinking game aspects, if there were more mini creative games with different point levels, especially as the battle cards look a lot like drink coasters. Overall fun twist, that's honestly a lot of fun both as an observer and a champion

Fun and Active

Amanda January 8, 2025

Great game to play with kids (and adults if you wanted to)! The roly poly squishies were the fan favorite and we could not get enough of how soft they are. It's quick, easy, and an active game so be ready to move around. If you're really competitive, be prepared for chaos!

So much fun!!!

Chelsea L. January 21, 2025

We played this on a mini-vacay in our hotel room and it was a blast! Easy to understand and fun to play. My 9-year-old said he loved it because it was so simple, and the roly polies are so cute! This is easy to take traveling with you, too, because there is no board and the cards/squishies don't take up much room once out of the box. The only thing I wish was that there were more cards so it didn't have to be played in teams. There were three of us and the first round only my son and BF played, and I was the ref. My son wanted us all to play the next round and it went by super fast and there was an uneven amount of cards. It didn't keep us from having fun, though. I would say if you want to play with three people and need more cards, just grab another card game with numbers on it and incorporate them into the deck. That being said, this game is still super and will definitely be one we play often at our house! Thanks, EK!

Fun, Energetic, Exciting Game!

Jena Marie D. May 2, 2025

The game was very enjoyable to play. I had a lot of fun playing it. You might want a bigger playing space with no breakables because there is throwing and heading (like in soccer) the ball. The game length was just right. It was very easy to learn because it has a bunch of the same rules as the card game "War", so if you already know how to play that, they just added energy and movement to it. I would recommend this for kids who are in first or second grade up to grownups depending on the grownup's personality. I don't think two grownups would play it together but it is a good game for kids and grownups to play together. The cards are easy to read. It was easy to keep track of who was winning. - review by Morgan, age 10

How to make the card game War fun!

Robert D. January 30, 2025

This game asks how can we make that boring card game War not suck? Add a hint of Throw Throw Burrito in and you have Roly Poly Goalie. The game starts as the standard 1v1 war setup up even to the point of laying out 3 prize cards after a match. After that it's very different! Instead of flipping another card to decide the victor, you get to play fun mini games. This includes battles and trying to knock a roly poly off the game box. It also help how amazing the art of the throw items in the Exploding Kitten games are which now includes burritos, avocados, and roly polys. The one thing we weren't crazy about was the final battle moving the roly poly on the ground with our heads. We just opted to do a throw from far away and see who could closer for the points. The best part is unlike War, the game can end 2 ways and doesn't drag on forever like War tends to. Like War you win if you get all the cards but games will often end when all 7 battles have been completed so it never becomes tedious.

Fun Easy to learn

Christopher F. January 27, 2025

The game is fun to play for adults but kids really get a kick playing. We took the game to friends that have 2 pre teen girls. After a few playthroughs we all had a blast playing and battles had us all laughing. When the adults were done the girls wanted to keep playing. Not sure if adults alone would have as much fun vs playing card only E.K. games.
