Sauder Edge Water Executive Desk, Chalked Chestnut Finish

It took time to put it together, I followed the instructions and had no problem. If you don't like reading or following written instructions, it may be difficult to put together. Definitely cant be done in an hour. It is sturdy and great value for the price, I was concerned that with it being composite it wouldn't be sturdy but I was wrong.

I bought my first furniture from Sauder, a bedroom set, for my son back in 1993. And recently I purchased a desk in 2025. I don't know why I waited so long to purchase from them again. They were amazing. My desk is beautiful. It arrived damaged and they made it right. I have other items I want to purchase for my home. I will definitely go straight to Sauder. I don't know why it took me so long.

I have a small office. My last Sauder desk was black and lasted over 15 years, but it took a lot of abuse and I wanted to lighten up the room. I totally recommend this desk!!!

Wow, was this packaged perfectly with 2 boxes. Yes, you will need two people to lift each box, they weigh about 81 pounds each. Two people are also recommended to put the desk together. Each and every part of the desk fit perfectly without any problems. The hardware was nicely put into a bluster pack and well labeled fir ease of finding the parts. The color of the Chalk white is outstanding. Tge draws move smoothly with very nice draw slides. I do not have any complaints about the desk. The desk surface is 65 1/8 wide and looks fantastic. I would highly recommend this desk to anyone needing one.

After visiting all of the furniture stores in our area with no luck, we resorted to searching the internet for options. We were reluctant to purchase a "put-together" desk and worried that the quality may not be what we were hoping for. Since Sauder has always had a good name, we took a chance. We could NOT be happier!!!! The desk is very well designed, sturdy, and looks amazing! We love it.

MADE IN THE USA. . . . well almost. Cannot believe this 175lb desk came in such a compact box, via freight carrier, and did not have one bit of damage. Kudos to the Sauder packaging design team. The only issue we have is that on some of the corners/joints you can see a very slight bit of white/wood since this is basically veneer over particle board. God has blessed me to be a pretty skilled handyman. . . assembly was really easy. All the components and hardware were labeled very well. Had one knob with bad threads. Kristen on the Help Line was awesome and got the knob shipped right out. I do have some tips for others. Hope they help. 1. Instructions say use a screwdriver. I would highly recommend using a small drill that has impact settings so you do not drive the screws in too far. This will save a lot of time. 2. WARNING: If you use the box as a cushion to protect the finish while assembling it, the adhesive on the box may stick to your flooring. 3. When assembling the legs pay close attention to which end of the leg the foot goes on. 4. I combined Steps 6&7 and installed both rails on each panel to reduce moving components around. 5. Take your time and lay out the draw rails/slides to insure you have them correctly identified and installed. 6. Once the desk is assembled, I would suggest do not lift it with the top. While the Sauder Twist Lock fasteners are really neat and hold well, I could feel a little movement the first time I moved the desk. My wife loves it and I enjoyed putting it together. This is our computer desk. The printer, TV and wifi equipment are also on it. Assembly issues - the edge strip on the top was ragged, so I ordered another top. The on 4 of the 8 legs, the top of the leg wouldn't line up with the top of the sides. Every time I tightened the cam, the leg would misalign by 1/16"" to 1/8"" and I didn't want to see this gap between the leg and the top. So I elongated the cam holes, tightened the cams with the legs and sides aligned, secured the cams in place with metal shims, and locked everything in place with an adhesive.

Executive desk in estate black arrived undamaged. Assembly took several hours but was straightforward. No missing parts. Good instructions. Drawer slides work smoothly. Construction is of particle board with a veneer finish. Be careful not to get it wet or scratch it. This is HEAVY. We had to unbox it outside and carry pieces up the stairs and inside. We are pleased and plan to order other items in this series.

It did not come with assembly instructions. Instructions once received were inadequate. My movers are charging me a large fee for what they say will be a complicated assembly.

I purchased this desk with high hopes, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The desk arrived in two separate boxes, and we assembled the bottom half without issue. However, when we went to assemble the top half, I noticed significant damage to the surface of the desk that was hidden until after the assembly. The worst part is that I had already hired a handyman for $150 to assemble the desk, meaning I'm now at a loss. I cannot return or exchange the product easily because customer service insists that I must disassemble the entire desk and return it to proceed with a replacement or refund. This is not only an unreasonable request but also an extremely difficult one because the desk is heavy and cumbersome to take apart. I've reached out to customer care multiple times, and each interaction has been frustrating. Despite explaining the situation, they continue to insist on the disassembly and return process, which is incredibly inconvenient and costly. I am left feeling stuck with a damaged desk, no clear resolution in sight, and a significant financial loss due to assembly costs. In hindsight, I would have much rather purchased the desk from Amazon at the same price for a better customer experience and more straightforward returns. I will not be recommending this product or company to anyone, and I'll be cautious about future purchases with this brand. It's truly been a disappointing and frustrating experience overall.
