LOOKS GREAT. HEAVY AS THE DEVIL. WISH THE EDGES AND DIVIDER WERE MORE STURDY THAN PLASTIC. HOPE IT HOLDS UP.

I am so pleased with this! Its a great value for the money ! It was shipped to my door ( heavy - I didn't have to lift) . Not super easy to put together but doable ! ( and I am a woman) . Best part , it actually blends right in with my 1940's desk and bookcase . The color is spot on and the hardware is dark burnished enough to pass. PLEASE as punch !

Got a great deal on this at the Big Blue Asterisk store.Its heavy.I had to lug it up to my top floor apt.Yes at first its intimidating.A fair amount of parts.Just dont rush and youll be ok. Since Im an adult and know better to not to pull out both drawersI did not install the auto lock feature.Its a pain and not needed for everyone.Its atleast a 3 hr job but ince assembled its a real nice peice.Highly reccomend .

Instructions were good, all parts were included, and pieces went together well. Once assembled, it's what I needed for my files. I would buy it again. It's a nice piece of furniture that doesn't need to hide in a closet or back room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Ordering online was not easy to get questions answered. Having two supplier , one for the file and one for the assembly. When I called numbers provided, all were automated and I could never get to live person. Once I painfully figured it all out and the Pro arrived for assembly, everything went very well.

Give yourself plenty of time to assemble. The cabinet is definitely not as sturdy as a solid wood cabinet. One corner of the box was wet (even though it hadn"t been raining near my house ). The plastic wraping was ripped and one side of the box was slightly crushed. Fedex was the delivery company.

Front of the drawers fall off the drawers. It is very poorly attached to the rest of the drawer. Contacted company and they did not offer any help. Had to go to Home Depot and purchase 2 sets of brackets to fix the problem. Solution to the problem is to screw 2 brackets on each side of drawer front to the sides. Then the unit works well. The solution of the company is to wiggle the sides into the front. This does not work very well and comes apart after use. Also breaks easily.

My husband and I spent two afternoons trying to assemble this filing chest without success. The twist lock attachments were faulty and could not line up with the holes which were also a bit off. We were concerned that if we did manage to get it together, it would not be sturdy with daily use. In contacting the Sauder Company customer service, it was decided to send out more twist lock attachments which may take time to arrive. We keep hopeful as from the outside, it's an attractive piece of furniture.

Used pledge to polish after we put together and the paper towel came out pink! Poor finish obviously

It's a piece of junk. Spent two days assembling this file cabinet and when I was done the drawers didn't fit and they overlapped. The guides were too wide for the drawers to slide in and a piece of the glide broke and spilled many small ball bearings all over the floor.
