Sauder Homeplus Engineered Wood Storage Cabinet in Salt Oak Finish

Love the color of the finish! I had bought two and thought they would look identical but the wood grain is a bit different in each one so the look like they are made of real wood!. Loved that. They look like high end cabinets. Easy to put together, comes with 4 shelves which is really nice for organizing. Loved them so much ordered me 2 more!

I started with 1 cabinet just to check the quality and to see if I liked it. Turns out - I LOVE this cabinet - so much so - I now have 4 that forms a wall of much needed storage. Most cabinets that I saw online were shallow - this is deep. The shelves are adjustable - which is a huge plus. I use them to store sheets, towels and misc other. The cabinet arrives in a large box. I have the delivery person lay it out flat and I bring in the pieces individually since the box is so heavy. Also, make sure that you build the cabinet in the area where you would like it situated as it is too heavy to move by yourself once built. I can move it in a smaller area, but not to a different room without help. It took me approximately 2 hours to build each cabinet by myself- female/late 50s. The instructions are very easy to follow and easy to install without help. (Helpful tip - I lay the cabinet on its side to install the door with hinges - so much easier and I can do it by myself.). I now have a wall a cabinets that cost a very small fraction of the cost of custom cabinets. Are they custom cabinet quality? No - but they are very nice and substantial for the price. It even has adjustable feet if your floor is a little uneven. Hope you enjoy the cabinet as much as I enjoy mine!

Great looking sturdy. Makes a great pantry at a great price. I am going to buy 4 more to do a whole wall in my kitchen. Great way to get lots of storage for not much money. I bought new handles for it to match my other kitchen cabinets really dresses them up. My husband said they had the best directions he has seem in a long time too!

My wife and I were looking for something to put our dry goods and kitchen appliances in to free up some counter space and organize a bit. This cabinet showed up earlier than listed, well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. Surprisingly easy to assemble and had everything you needed to put it together. I was a little worried about stability as we put it into place, but once we added the shelves it was sturdy as a rock. This looks very nice and should hold up very well for daily use. Good quality for a cheaper piece of cabinetry.

About 6 months ago my husband passed away and we had too much property for me to care for. I down sized and moved to another state close to family. So my house now did not have but few kitchen cabinets and I did not want to spend ten thousand dollars adding cabinets. I purchased one of the tall cabinets and three of the base cabinets. I am a 62 year old woman and I found them easy to assemble. I read some reviews about the doors not being level. The first suggestion I have would be for you to level the floor where you intend to place the cabinet. These cabinets do have levelers on them which is wonderful and makes for easy leveling. Then once you place your cabinet where you want it to go, you will already know which side may need leveling. After you put your cabinet where you want it, again use the level to make sure your cabinet is level. After you have your cabinet level, then make any adjustments needed to level the doors. Primarily, leveling the doors is for up or down...as in one door may be higher than the other and that is done by tightening or loosening screws. It is very IMPORTANT that your cabinet be level but ALSO if you want flush fitted doors, you need to make sure you have good assembly. Good assembly means you want everything lined up perfectly and rather tight fitting. If you have one side off from the other, you may find a small gap in the doors. If u r assembling the cabinet by yourself, you may find attaching the doors much easier by laying the cabinet on its sides. Another tip is to have a flashlight or lantern or some such handy for light inside the cabinet when assembling. I believe these cabinets will out last me. I have some can food and packaged food, dish towels, crock pots, and a host of other items in these cabinets. Remember the WEIGHT LIMIT of the shelves. The tall cabinet is unfinished on the very top and does not call for weight on it...I put a placemat on top of it and put light weight basket. I am very happy with them and also the Sauder company is very friendly as I called and ordered two more shelves and they readily shipped them to me.

Searched everywhere for a unit like this, happy I settled on this one. Cabinet was simple to assemble, just followed directions step by step. Tools required are a phillips head screwdriver and a hammer. Box was heavy, had to open and carry in pieces up the stairs. Stood unit up to attach the doors, no adjusting needed like most RTA cabinets. I used the adjustable feet to square off and secure to the wall with provided L clip and screws. Unit feels even sturdier after filling it up. Very happy with purchase.

Love the cabinet looks great in the laundry room as a pantry I would have given it 5 stars. Nicely constructed great looking however not all the predrilled holes for the shelves we level some were way off and Could not change the shelves if I wanted to. Thank goodness I made it it work out with the choices i made. Other wise I would have gave it 5 stars the thought of taking it apart and return was not a option

It’s a very inexpensive cabinet, relatively easy to assemble, and functional. Typical Sauder quality.

I already have the bigger brother of this unit, so I knew what I was buying - a good storage cabinet for the price. However, as with several prior purchases, it didn't arrive in a happy state. The box looked in good shape but when I opened it, both side boards were cracked and both doors had bad marks and gouges where they had rubbed against the pieces next to them while in transit. Sauder needs to use better packaging to prevent this. .. or beat up on Fedex/UPS to get them to handle with more care. This is the 4th Sauder piece I've purchased in the last 12 months and the 3rd that has needed replacement parts because of poor packaging or careless handling by Fedex (2 instances) and UPS (1 instance). The good thing is that Sauder is great at customer service and ships replacements quickly with no run-around.

The cabinets and furniture are nice when completed but without electric drills and a lot of experience putting things together you will end up with a piece of garbage. The instructions were incorrect at times and the parts were not labeled as the needed to be. Many pieces had the letters off so you need to guess and hope for the best. Way too complicated for the average person to put together.
